My sleep pattern is so jacked up! Haven’t slept all night’
DBIL coming for dinner. Will help keep DW distracted. She's doing well, but still very very sad.
Whip arrived. Passed inspection. Didn’t pass emissions due to new battery. Ugh. He said drive it 100 miles and it will "self-calibrate."

Car therapy. Seems to always put a smile on your face, Skip.
We visited the Space Center During my last tour at Fort Cavasos (then Fort Hood). Found it very interesting. Not as crowded 30 years ago. We didn't need reservations for any of the highlights.
Lots to do today: helping with Easter decorations at church, mowing the lawn, making shavings in the shop.0 -

(((Carrie))). Give her a something to plant in her yard, in honor of her mom, Skip. I love my moms lilac shrub, I planted outside by my office window. Smells great in bloom and is so pretty in May around Mothers day.
Raining here as it did all night. Should clear out soon.
Trail cams picked up a Family of deer eating the grass in our yard up at the lake. Less dh will have to mow. Then later picks up some lady with a little Chihuahua dog walking around our property... wTH?
Had my neighbor go check her out but she was gone out of site. Not even walking on roadway. Weird. Sent him her photo in case he sees her around later.
Today, I'm decorating my Easter egg little tree. And cooking some dishes for tomorrow. The cheesecake had one crack along top edge, oh well. Looks good otherwise. Dh said he could get rid of that part before Sunday.... 😉
Pickle ball is all the rage these days. I giggled at your cartoon over there on yesterdays post, Lee. Hope your work day goes quick!

We have Pickleball courts here in the 55+ community. I've not tried, but the competition sounds like it gets pretty intense. I got into Bocce before the back woes sidelined me last October. Will try again for summer league.
Top has to stay up for a few days. I had the back tinted a bit darker than factory. So until it seals and cures, no convertible option.
TIRED this morning. TRULY didn't get one wink of sleep last night. ugh

- I'm not going to tell you how much sleep I got last night Skip. Probably enough for both of us. Nice looking whip and the lady riding with you.
- Our local cable company is battling with the regional sports network. The Braves were not on our tv system. Grrr. I was able to see them beat the Phillies on the big screen at the clubhouse though.
- Fort Cavasos? I had no idea. I had to look it up. Although with Fort Hoods history it probably needed a new start.
- Sunday is coming.

Unhappy that network wars persist! I refuse to buy anymore subscriptions between cable, Netflix, Paramount, AppleTV, etc. Its insane.

Waiting on Cecilia to roll out of bed and get the day started.
I'm getting ready to cancel our cable. We rarely watch it. Most of our time in front of the TV is spent watching Sling (for the Brazilian channels) or Hulu.

We went to NASA in Texas ...we enjoyed the one at Cape Canaveral much more if you ever get a chance to go.
It's windy today. Not sure how far we will walk. Our usual loop is 5ish miles which is not bad when the tide is out but much more difficult when we have to walk in the thick, fluffy sand or the water. Our favorite beach bar is just over a mile away via beach so walking home yesterday afternoon was long. But the drinks were good and the bartender is fun to talk to.
We could walk home on the road but no sidewalks and then it's more like 3 miles.0 -
Dennis, I misspelled the name. It should be Fort Cavazos. I met the general in 1980, when I arrived at the post. He gave me a ride to the 1st Cav. Div. replacement company. The Mango Margarita is my favorite. The regular margarita is pretty good too.
Our favorite bartender just bought the place so he gave us a couple of free drink he had made for social media. They were OK but I won't order them again.
Generally I like tequila and rum mixed drinks but whiskey neat. I hate Gin.
