In the midst of a wild, winter Nor'easter here, windows rattling, and outside, snow and sleet blasting away at things. Not sure how much snow so far, but I'm not stepping outdoors till it's over. I doubt there will be any piano class, or that the Sr. Center will even be open.
Bob, good luck on your eclipse watching adventure. It's supposed to pass a few hundred miles north and west of us, and I heard the cabins and lodges in the north woods of Maine are all booked. Also heard they raised their rates for the occasion. Eclipse weather is always a wildcard. I've seen two, plus a few lunar eclipses. Very cool.
That roaring wind gets unnerving at times; sounds like the rumble of an avalanche or earthquake almost. Hope my DD and DS & their families are okay on Cape Cod, which often gets the brunt of these storms.
Will try to not nibble while being cooped up indoors all day.
Have a good day...0 -
Good morning!
Cat on the lap, so we will see how this goes. She does not like my typing.
Dave, that is awesome that you are hiking again. I'm looking forward to hiking in a few months.
We are supposed to have 90% eclipse here in KC.
Although we have a freeze advisory for tonight, spring is starting to look like spring here. The world is starting to green up again.
Have a great day!

Mornin' gents.
Wind howled all night. Wind has now died down and its snowing. April showers?
Steve, saw that Arrowhead Stadium funding vote failed and that the Mayor of Dallas is offering the Cotton Bowl as a landing spot for the Chiefs. Say it ain't so.
Onward and downward ;-)0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Wild weather back east. Hunker down, gentlemen.
Our corner of the country gets the smallest portion of eclipse: 20 percent or less.
Chilly, fun hike, yesterday. This has always been one of my early season, warm-up hikes. I spent some time scrambling on a rough upper trail. That was fun. Covered 8.8 miles, with 1, 927 feet of vertical. I was at the trailhead at 7:15 and back at the car at noon.
Things are moving ahead with my mom's estate. I have documents to fill out and send to an insurance company and my brother, sister and I meet with an attorney Monday, down in Salem.

Good Morning
Sam, have they still not figured out your knee?
Temps dropping a bit as a couple of days of light rain roll through as our rainy season dwindles away. Thankfully our snowpack is in great shape. We will head off to the Pub Cinema today for a bit of a date and see Ghostbusters and then home to get going on taxes. First I need to do some mobility workouts as I struggle to go slow and easy to rebuild strength and endurance under the Doc’s restrictions for the next couple of months. My back tightens up if I go to far which keeps me from doing too much harm. Drives me crazy though.

Mike: YUP room rates are now sky high for eclipse and unavailable. Folks renting tents in their yards albeit with cushy bed and chairs inside. I too have ween two total eclipses and they are truly amazing. the temperature drop is something else too!
Glad to hear the doc is onto your A-fib drugs. Hoping that works out.
Wow Lee amazing snow indeed!!!!
Great hike Dave!!
We had light windshield "frost-ish" stuff today with an air temp of 35-36deg. Daytime high dropped from 77-78deg on Tues to hi of 54deg yesterday. A good 24-25deg colder depending on hour of day from the day before.
Hope all are doing ok and hang in there.
