Welcome to our new members!

If you are new and want to join in, by all means, please do - we love to celebrate those losses with you! This is the standard format we try to use for these threads:

Name: (if you'd like to share)

My Numbers:
SW: Starting weight before you lost anything.
CW: Current weight at the beginning of the challenge.
GW: Goal weight for the month (what you would like to weigh at the end of the monthly challenge) Try to keep it realistic and SAFE!
LTGW: Lifetime goal weight ( What you would like to weigh at the end of your weight loss journey)

Weigh-ins: What days you will weigh-in; for example, Mondays
4/1/24 = (Fill out after each weigh-in.)
4/8/24
4/22/24
4/29/24 (final weigh in for the month)
Total WL/G for the month= total weight lost or gained for the month

It was also suggested that we could track our measurements at the beginning of each month to see how we do there, so feel free to add those too this month!

My birthday is next month so I'm feeling very motivated to make some good progress by May 14! 😄 Trying to find some tasty, healthy spring recipes too. I made a spinach mushroom quiche yesterday and today I'm making Greek lemon chicken soup 🌞

It's plateau time! Oh boy fun times. 😮‍💨 In better news, I'm noticing more changes in my clothes getting looser, especially around the waist. The fat on my back seems to be shrinking too. I'm just feeling slimmer overall, which is nice. 💜 Weight loss is so weird sometimes, like at the beginning when I was dropping weight quickly I felt like I couldn't notice any change in my body at all. Now that it's already gotten slower it feels like my body is a bit slimmer every couple of weeks and my clothes get looser. I still have a long way to go, like I'm not even halfway done yet, so I wonder how I'll feel when I'm another 20, 30, 50 lbs down.

Sounds like you're doing great even if there wasn't a loss this week! You're getting super close to onederland, how exciting! So for me, I started walking 4 times a week (from not moving at all) BUT I didn't realise that my Fitbit automatically adds the calories to my daily allowance on MFP so I was eating the 'calories lost' while walking on top of my normal amount allowed (which I'm sure are overestimated in the first place) without realising! Now that I know this week should be better but yeah, that was annoying to discover haha!

I had a mini vacation this week and got back late last night. I was dreading weighing myself today but ofc *that's* what broke the plateau lol. It was nice to take a little break after 6 mos of tracking and deficit but I'm back on track today. ❤️

Haha it is funny how these things happen! I also realised I've messed up my dates and there's actually one week left this month :D

Well this month was a bit weird and I'm not sure why but oh well. 😂 I didn't lose much on the scale but I made it to 50 lbs lost total and I can button and zip my old size 14 jeans and size L jacket. Even though I wish it went better there's no choice but to keep going haha. I'm only halfway done with losing and have 50+ lbs left to lose so gotta keep at it one day at a time.

I missed the 15th out when writing originally lol. Luckily the extra week did me well and ended up not too bad for the month haha!

@mmatcha_latte I think those non scale victories are especially important the lighter we get as weight loss will slow down eventually. You're still smashing it (big congrats on 50lb down overall!). Looking forward to seeing how we can do in May!
