Sunny morning. Thinking I should get my fishing stuff out one of these nice spring days and catch me some dinner. Haven't gone since winter icefishing.

Just a lazy day here I guess... did some grocery shopping yesterday, trying to focus on including veggies. MIght include some rootin-tootin prunes this morning to wake up me innards.

    Time for coffee...

    Good morning!

Dave, I hope that you were able to catch some fish. Awesome weight celebration!

Yesterday, I literally came within five minutes of quitting. It was horrible. In their mind, I have cost the company $50,000. They had to pay my hiring fee to the agency which in their mind was lost. Now they have to pay a hiring fee to an agency for a new hire. They are also convinced that I knew a year ago that I was only going to work for a year. It is tough working in an environment where you know they want to fire you, yet are smart enough not to yet. They are not hiding their anger. It makes it rough. I had a closed door yell with the VP sales. I agreed only not to quit yesterday. He agreed that I would have no further communication with the owner (his dad), and the outside CPA. I would also get some direct help with the other stuff that I can't get to. We'll see. Perhaps it will be better enough that I can still tough it out. I would like to do that for the support staff, not the owners. 18 more working days. It still seems like a lot. Perhaps when I get March & April closed, and some tax work caught up, they will let me go.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Didn't catch anything yesterday. But there was a bit of mist on the lake surface, which was mirror smooth, with a pair of ospreys lazily flying around (also not catching anything). Quite beautiful. Not a wasted morning.

Tough situation, Steve. But you can do anything for 18 days. Make a game out of it. Any comment that irritates or insults, just laugh at it.

    Good Morning

Steve, I am glad you were able to have that conversation and hear why they are so angry. But it sounds like the son you talked to is sane and somewhat reasonable. 18 days…you got this.

Lots of stomach issues lately. I tend to shut down and rest when it happens so I am trying to resist doing that and keep moving a bit. Heather may or may not be working today, she was warned that a teacher might be out today. Temps have plunged into the 60’s for the weekend so it will be great weather to enjoy a walk. I am doing some baking today as well to work on a carrot cake/scone recipe I need to develop further.

When I was much younger I did quit a job one time because of abuse by some one on the staff, but I do get it.

Yeah Dave as they say "the worst day fishing is better than the best day working".

Gosh Bill I hope things settle down for your innards soon indeed!!

    Hang in there folks

DW not driving is causing me lots of issues,
Urologist did not go as planned, usually see doctor and reschedule in a year; PSA went up repeat in 4 months,
May have started walking too soon, knee is not happy.
90 this afternoon, hope for a quite weekend
Steve, you did not tell them hire an agency and generally if employee leaves within contract they can get some fees refunded. Hope you told son you did not plan to leave till they made it impossible for you to work and dumped a pile of crap that was not accounting on you.
Bill hope you are felling better soon.
