Dog training and then late lunch with DDIL and DGS. DW is worried about DGD and DGS shenanigans at the bistro. Am on strict orders to be on good behavior.

- Brandy had a good ride to the hometown of Trisha Yearwood for ice cream. As my friend in NOVA would say. Wash and rinse, let's do it again today.
- School shooting was in a town about 40 miles from here. What a shame.
- We also lost a Fire Battalion Chief yesterday. He was responding to a car fire, and it exploded.

Hot day ahead, in Tumwater - 94. After cool, damp August it's like we're going backwards. Rita and the grandkids are off enjoying a free suite at the casino/resort where she won the massive jackpot a few weeks back, so Sassy and I are rattling around the house alone. The grandkids love playing in the pool. I'll pick them up later, then we finally have to take them home.

What a great last week of summer for the Grands. We used to spend many a days at my grandparents farm. So many great memories.
Today is my big workout, full strength training and 45 minutes of cardio plus massages for both of us. Housekeeping coming today too do need to get the sheets in the laundry.
Happy hour and dinner out tonight. Not sure when we will fit in a 4hr bike race.0 -
