Good morning!
Bill, that is such good news about your PET scan! I am very happy for you!
It was 48 degrees this morning. It will warm up, but that is the coolest morning so far this season. By the middle of next week, we will be in the mid to upper 80s again.
Sam, I am almost at the point where I wonder how I had time to work. Then I see all of the projects that I have wanted to do and are unfinished. I am making progress on some of these projects and that makes me very happy. I still have a lot of just "chair time" and that also makes me happy.
I'm not sure what the focus for today will be. I still have not done my weekly house cleaning, and I still have to bring in some groceries. We buy almost all of our groceries at Walmart to save $$, but we will not buy our meat there. I go to a local grocer that has an in-house butcher. I need to bring home some more meat.
Sam, I am glad that you are making progress, and that you have more PT scheduled.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Last night we took advantage of the last freebie the casino gave Rita for winning her big jackpot. We had a complimentary dinner at their steakhouse. It was a great dinner; best I've had in a while. We'll be eating leftovers for supper tonight.
I have a choir retreat today, kicking off the choir year after our summer hiatus. We'll sing at church tomorrow, for the first time since June.0 -
Good Morning
Our cooler temps never appeared so another 100 degree day yesterday. I only went out to water and bring in the remaining garden stuff to pack. Once again we are supposed to drop into the mid 90s. I received a surprise call from my Radiation Oncologist only 23 hours after the scan not the 10 days she told me it would take. Usually they call and schedule a phone appointment so a little "oh oh" was heard in my head. But she just wanted to cut through the process to say my scan showed no sign of cancer. PSA increase might be from a prostate that hasn't recovered normal function yet from the abuse it suffered. So good news. More moving stuff today. I need to spend time upstairs going through the closet and my dresser, but it gets rather warm up there unless we crank up the A/C and really chill the first floor. The wonders of hot summers in a single zone townhouse.0 -
Great news Bill,
Sounds as you are adjusting to retirement Steve,
Sing strong tomorrow, Dave,
We are supposed to see plans and cost for our church tomorrow0 -
WHEW Bill! I was thinking, hoping and praying that the scan was OK. My Radiation Oncologist has warned me about the not unheard of spurious PSA readings and possible elevations.
Hey Dave best of luck singing in church.
Suppose to be more moderate today w heat. A bit of high level smoke/haze but "ok" at ground level.0 -
Back from the wedding. Loads of family there, even wee ones. A nice, laid back, lakeside weekend, almost a family reunion for our side. Boys did a lot of fishing (not much catching). Some recovery napping is in order.
Bill, that’s good news. Happy to hear it.0
