Had to throw a lidocaine patch on my hip last night. Right hip has been nagging me.
Do you drink herbal tea for your upset stomach, Steve? Its the only home remedy I know for an sour tummy.
    Safe travels home Sam!
    Saturday is the day, Bill?
Doing a deep dive in all things Monument CO. Fun fact: Monument averages 110 inches of snow per year, while Denver to the north and Colorado Springs to the south average less than 40 inches.
Cooked up some fresh caught striped bass fillets on the grill that a friend gifted me last night. HEAVEN! Its been so long, I had forgotten what a beautiful thing striped bass can be.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Lee, I bet you and your pups could get to liking mountain life pretty quickly. 110 inches of snow sounds like a lot! We average about 20 here in KC.

I finally got the yard mowed. Today will be about weed whacking.

We have given up on Frankie wearing her hood. She has some fluid building back up in her ear. We are watching. She does have an appointment with the vet on 10/10, but we can take her back in earlier if we think the ear needs draining again. I think that Frankie was doing more damage to herself by fighting that hood, rather than just letting her ear be free.

I've been happy that I have not put on weight again, but I have not lost either. I've been within a pound of 170 for the last 90+ days. I want to lose another 15 pounds. It is time to start thinking about that again.

    Bill, get some rest!

    Have a great day!

Lee, that's a lot of snow.

Mornin' gents. Back from the wilds of Maine. Almost got through the eight days without a drop of rain when it started showering as I was taking down my tent and tarp. Now I have wet stuff I need to spread out and dry or it will turn moldy. Can't complain though, after enjoying time alone in the great outdoors. Will put up a picture or two when I get a chance.

No bears, but found moose tracks on the beach one morning right in front of my campsite. Got to canoe the lake a lot, getting water away from shore, scavenging driftwood for fires, and paddled a mile to an island one sunny, calm morning to take in the vastness of the area. The mountain range that borders the south side is north of Sugarbush and Saddleback ski areas. It was also once targeted as a resort, but the state took it as a wilderness reservation. And north of the lake is nothin' but woods as far as you can go.

Saw a canoe or kayak go by now and then, heading to other campsites further down the lake, and an occasional motorboat with fishermen or sightseers.

Got to stay off the internet and put the phone away; I think I have information overload and need to change some daily life habits. Kept a journal and took pics on my yard-sale digital camera (cards hold 16 pictures) so I could mostly leave the phone off.

I'll catch up on Men's Health news when I get a chance.

    Have a good day everyone.
