    GM~
    • Late night fighting with the disgruntled Marine, who has been sitting outside in rain for an hour waiting for Uber! I don't have the patience to take him to the airport.
    • Go BRAVES! What a nail biter day, Dennis!

    Mornin' BBB

    R.I.P. Pete
How old is DF, Skip? He does not look happy.
M and I eat huge salad every night. I continued the practice while I was a bachelor. Funny enough, she was not that much into salad when we first got married. She lived on Virginia Slims menthol long lights and diet coke when I met her. Now salad is a staple of our diet.
My 'maters are just about done as well. Three of my cherries are still providing some ripe fruit. It was a pretty decent season.
Home Inspector, retired AF, did a very thorough inspection and produced an outstanding report complete with videos, photos, and graded recommendations from urgent to not so urgent repairs. He discovered there is no ground wire for certain three pronged outlets around the house. The dude actually pulled the outlets out to inspect them. Typical AF and that's a good thing. There is a problem with the well pump running improperly, a belly in the septic line, and the front deck landing was found to be unsafe. I was trying to tell M that the recent internal renovation and paint she was so impressed with might be lipstick on a pig. So long as the seller gets those things corrected, it should be fine.
    Good luck at Mandalay Bay!

    76 going on 3!

He was looking for an argument to avoid coming for Thanksgiving (after I goated him into it and bought $750 worth of tickets)! Needless to say, DW and I have a nice United credit to use on us.

Those sound like expensive repairs. Hope the seller takes care of e'm!

Me dad got a little combative at that age, in spite of being cognitively sharp. I wonder if it is a Jarhead thing?
I believe it is in our contract. We ain't closing until all problems are corrected.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I started the morning my Emmaus friends.
    • The Braves double header yesterday was something to watch. The Mets couldn't do anything up to the 8th inning in game 1 and then went on a rampage. They weren't all that interested in game 2. Regardless, a tired, injured Braves team is limping into the playoffs where anything can happen.
    • It will be interesting to see how the sellers react to your list Lee. Will they be analytical and agree to valid concerns or get defensive and be offended? I've seen both. When I sold my last home, I fixed a couple of things they found but refused to do anything about the roof that their inspector said might have problems down the line. The buyer said fine. Sometimes inspectors just have to find things.
    • Good luck in Vegas Dave. It is good your lucky charm is traveling with you.

    Morning gang.

Not sure of the plans today. I was going to suggest a road trip to the beach town up the coast, but remembered it's a Mexican holiday (inauguration of the new president) so now not sure we should go due to traffic.

    Good luck in Vegas.

    Good morning BBB friends.

Long day, yesterday. I hate airports. Left the house at 11, checked into hotel at 7:30. Made for a fashionably late supper. Rita was good to go, but I was tired, so we retired at 11. We'll see what the day brings.

Lipstick on a pig!! Ha ha ha.

My mom can be very rude. She’s 83. I actually talked to a mental health professional about her and my sister yesterday. Interesting. Going off medication. I like that.

Lots of folks will put lipstick on pig when trying to sale; they generally do not get it on straight or miss marks; better if they just left alone.
DMIL called DW yesterday afternoon saying she had to go to doctor right then, lady that runs personal care home did not have time for her and no one was caring for her; she has a blood blister on back of leg that nurse looked at and told her to leave it alone, of course that meant she need to pick at it till blood was running down leg. Lady who she said did not have time for her had cleaned and bandaged leg. She had not seen anyone in weeks, yet DS or DDIL saw her every day last week including this past Sunday. DW left her a carton of cokes, and DMIL insist she need to go to grocery store; we have and Ingles which is closed because computers at home office in N. Carolina is under water and a Walmart which has clean shelves because everyone East of here is trying to replace goods loss in storm.
A plus is gas stations are out of gas so we can get down street now.
Older folks act like little kids for attention not understanding that crying wolf gets folks where they do not pay attention.
