    Mornin' BBB

Fingers crossed the Yanks figure out how to win tonight. Even if you hate the Yankees, a sweep by the Dodgers would be ho-hum.
    This fly-fisherman votes for Belize!
Dennis, I used my mattress heating pad last night for the first time this season. Heaven. Felt really good on my PITA too.
I am sadly a last minute packer, but my travel bag is almost always out during field trial season, so I guess I am usually semi packed. Its the socks and shorts that always seem to be in short supply and in the laundry. Speaking of laundry, M just bought a new Maytag washer. No bells or whistles top loader, but it is a HUGE large capacity.

    Good morning

Lee, that new washer large capacity makes laundry a snap in fewer loads. I think several of us can remember those days of kids and several loads a day. Now, I think I do about 4 loads a week. Mostly on Sunday.

Dog sitting so I was up and out early this am!

    Good morning BBB friends.

Hope the headache eases up, Skip.

Sounders won the first match of the MLS playoff series with Houston, last night. Color me happy.

We get a break in the rain today. I might ride my bike.

    Good morning

Sad that our lake time is done til mid April. We should sell and buy or build so we can use year round. Prices are way inflated. A 3bed built in 80's just listed for $549k, 75ft water frontage. The seller bought it in 2016 for $189k.
From photos it's not all that updated now either. Crazy.

I started at 530am in my home office this morning. All caught up. Business is kinda of slow this time of year, always. I have 6 days of PTO left this year.

I got the lake laundry bedding to do now, but typically I have my 2 loads a week. Dh does his own.

I repeat want a new split king mattress but won't give up my bed frame. I think we need to go look at some, soon.

    Have a great day BBB

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Some game last night. I guess the question of the day is will the Yankees pitch to Freddie tonight?
    • Who was the Fat Guy on the field before the game. Kind of embarrassing for the home team.
    • So how old was the replaced washer, Lee? Old ones seemed to last a long time, The new ones, not so much. Ours were new when we moved into this house 9+ years ago and are still going strong. And yes, I am knocking on wood.
    • Rumor has it there is an election next week, although everyone may have voted by then.
    • Italy or bust!

    Good Morning,
Hike in desert without trees, I would have to do before sunup or after sundown.
Skip, hope headache gets better; part of it could be doing too much.
Property on water since COVID has gone up everywhere, folks learned they could work from anywhere so why live in concrete jungle. Also we went more than a year without any building or new construction with COVID shutdown yet had folks starting new families plus folks are living longer all has caused more demand for housing. I can say some rental housing is beginning to drop in cost but that I believe is because it was too high and many could buy cheaper than rent. Some building materials were finally coming down but with storms creating higher demand retail prices are going back up.
DW purchased a commercial washer and dryer during COVID because that is all she could find, one load takes care of all clothes, linens and anything else we may have.
Now is new washer going to CO or you going to keep both homes for now.
Off to care for cat down street.

    Morning gang

Our massages got canceled yesterday so we went to the parrothead meetup instead. Super fun and met some super nice people. One of them is showing us an apartment today that will be vacant during Jan/Feb. I don't have high hopes but you never know. Only 3 weeklies left after a couple of margaritas. Today should be no problem but tomorrow is a pet Halloween costume party at the brewey. Need to be mindful today and tomorrow to make that work.

It's substantially cooler today. Got into the 70's overnight.
