Good morning!
We don't do Halloween here. We are not against it, but with our boys grown, and a quiet street with few children, we just keep our light off tonight.
We had wild storms last night, but no damage. This ushers in real Fall weather, so I'm happy. The high temps are going to be in the 50s and 60s for at least the next week with more rain coming. I like it!
I didn't do much yesterday, but hope to get several things done today.
Lee, I'm cheering for you to make it until January 2026. In my case, I didn't make it to 65, but I found good gap insurance to cover until Medicare. It is available in case your new doc works out well. "wink".
Bob, I'm glad that you were able to get out on your bike. I have not ridden mine in a while, and now the temps are going to be getting colder. Dave, are your still riding your bike?
Have a great day!

Mornin' gents.
Thanks for the tip, Steve. Good to know. Something catastrophic would have to happen for me to not make it to Jan '26, the new doc is very promising but I need to teach her a lot surgery wise. I am actually looking forward to her teaching me too, because I intend to keep on in Colorado. Big turn around from the last doc. Poor kid has big loans to pay back. Mind boggling.
Good to hear from ya, Bob! Love that you got back on the bike!
Dog training today. A bit balmy, but we should have some fun. Then a house call on the way home. Then hopefully I can vote early.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Another rainy day. Like you, Steve, we keep the lights off and don't answer the door on Halloween. There are plenty of kids here, but Rita got tired of them trampling her shrubbery taking shortcuts from the front door.
I turned a really pretty sugar bowl from some highly figured maple yesterday, with a walnut lid. I have been trying to complete something every day.
Speaking of completing things, my DS climbed up to 10000 feet on Mt. Rainier yesterday, to ski down. That marked three straight years he has "gotten his turns" every single month. It takes some real effort to find skiable snow in the summer, but with our towering volcanoes it can be done. Rita thinks he's crazy. I think it's pretty cool.
I haven't been on my bike much lately, Steve. Weather and other obligations get in the way. I need to juist get out, even for short rides when I have some time available.0 -
Morning gents…
Piano lesson this morning.
Our condos never get trick or treat visitors. DD is doing a party Saturday. I was planning on paddling with the Appalachian Mountain Club Saturday, but the trip is canceled for lack of water in the river. We badly need rain!
Almost 70 here this morning, an Indian summer day for sure. Love it.
Have to run…

Good Morning
The offer on our home didn’t pan out. Regrettable, but part of the game. Heather got some candy just in case. My ‘keep the lights off’ plan was vetoed. She worked with kids her whole career so I am not surprised. More settling in today and getting ready for tomorrows trip to Wisconsin to see my mother. Being back on WW is going well but it is only,my third day. The trip will bring challenges though. But I remember the MTBC mindset in those situations.0 -
Good Afternoon,
We live in what was designed as a 55 plus community, developer filed bankruptcy, so restrictions were never recorded. We have several families with children and several homes where they are raising grandkids, plus we are part of a much larger development and kids like our area better because lots are only about 8,000 sq feet and other sections run 1/2 up to 4 acres. We are expecting about 100 kids tonight, when candy is gone or 8 pm. comes the outdoor lights go out. There is one neighborhood near the schools where they close the streets for safety and they will generally have about 1,500 kids.
Subbed at high school today.
Started tracking in WW today, need to get backdown.0
