November Week 1 Group Challenge - Just Too Much Challenge

There are many ways to look at the same phrase...when I say "Just Too Much", what comes first to your mind?! If you celebrated Halloween...could be leftover candy and how to get rid of it, without inhaling it all! LOL (Couldn't resist)...but to be honest, each of us could have had a different thought. Look at each of these three pictures...each of them were labeled "Just Too Much" when I looked up this phrase...
So, our challenge this week is to figure out just "WHAT" is Just Too Much...Dealing with angry situations...feeling alone or rejected...difficult scheduling and trying to keep up...love and feeling smothered...carbs and pasta...empty, snack-filled calories...boring workouts that just don't excite us anymore...could be anything...
This week...each day...share what's is "JUST TOO MUCH"...bonus points if you share a meme, quote or picture to back up your thought, but the idea is to share how you feel, then back it up with a plan on how to counter it and make it a positive in your day and not a negative. Looking forward to lively discussion on this topic...and the opportunity for all of us to turn some negatives into positives...and perhaps plan some things more constructively. Good luck and see you in the chat thread!

@alleykat69 I love that!!! Thank you for sharing! I can certainly relate.
@sunshinezombiegirl1 I like that one too...it's a daily battle, isn't it?!

@Veta2018 @sunshinezombiegirl1 Accurate! That's relatable!
For me, being overly controlling at work is too much... I'm trying to fix that. On the flip side, not being as controlled with food is also too much. It's a struggle.3 -
My too much for me right now is my daughter's health. She just turned 13, is very happy and active. She loves ice skating and ballet, has been doing both for years (first on the ice before she was 2 years old, and ballet since she was 6) and is quite a good level now, with quite a few hours of training in each every week. She has been complaining about her ankles for a while now, on and off for a few years. She has done physio for a while, and we have seen the orthopaedic trauma specialist and it's not a good news, her bones show signs of stress. She might have to stop all activities for 12 weeks and if it doesn't work we can try a surgery that we have been told might not work... I don't know how to deal with this, and what is the best for her as she wants to stay active but might damage her ankles more, but on the other hand the doctor said there might be nothing they can do to help so why put her through the trauma of missing activities she clearly loves and doesn't want to stop
Anyway sorry for the long message6 -
My too much over the past few days is feeling anxious. My cycle was late; I was hopeful that I was pregnant. To be honest, I have been having all the signs that I was, but I didn’t want to become too excited. But I was. Hell! Well… I get home yesterday from work….False alarm… and now I’m sad. I know it’s just not my time yet. 🥹5

My too much was this evening when, after staying well within my calorie goal all day, I binged on ice cream and potato chips. Way too much! I'm sure it will show when I weigh tomorrow morning.1

Stress at work was my too much today…tried to take deep breaths, get up and take short walks and it did help. Thankfully I am sticking to my food plans…no snacking and only planned meals. I am very proud of me right now!!

For my moods going up & down. So sure it's menopause but my labs says everything is normal.
I have been using walks & 30 minutes of exercise video on YouTube or some kind of yarn ie knitting, crochet or embroidery.
Stressed with one job, locked out of emails & the app I book shifts on. I have emailed them already but no reply. Will send another one In a minute1 -
I'm hearing a lot of work stress and health stress so far. Many of us are turning to walks as an excellent coping skill and way to re-regulate. This is great!
My too much today is snacking... Or rather, "snacks" that are the size of meals. Any advice on how to flip that one around? I'm trying preportioning right now.

That's what I do. Measure out a portion size and then put the rest back in the pantry.2 -
My too much:
-hubby had surgery on Monday. Surgery went well.
-I went back to work full time on Tuesday, he is unable to put any weight on his left leg/foot and is hobbling around on crutches
-his mom was supposed to come and help him with getting food while I'm at work
-His grandma fell and fractured her ankle (she has dementia) and spent the day with her in the hospital
-Now he is by himself and almost fell this afternoon trying to get to the bathroom.
-his grandma is having surgery on Monday and now his mom can't take him to PT.
-I'm doing all the cooking, cleaning, in addition to working full time and caring for hubby
-I binged at work today
I don't know how parents with full time jobs do everything!!3 -
I am blessed that this is the only thing I have to complain about today.
But "Too much" was when this happened:
1. Last night I reserved a swim lane for today at 10:30am and a spot in the Aquafit class at 11:00am.
2. I showed up at the gym around 10:20am.
3. I changed into my swimsuit and walked out to the pool area and saw that the spa was closed and empty and being cleaned. Bummer, I like to take a soak after Aquafit. I saw Leo, who always enjoys the spa prior to Aquafit, coming out of the steam room looking dejected. The spa seems to be down a little too frequently.
4. I went to retrieve and set out my noodle/dumbbells by the exercise pool, before my swim, as I normally do.
5. My Aquafit instructor was there and informed me that the class was cancelled, and that all the pools were closed.
6. So, no swimming, no Aquafit, no spa soaking, and me needlessly having changed into my swimsuit. lol
7. On my drive home, I pass by a second gym that also has a pool, one that was just reopened this week after having been resurfaced this past month. It occurred to me to check the schedule and see if there's a class I could take.
8. Oh wow, there's an Aquafit class starting here at 11:00am as well, in five minutes.
9. So, I changed back into my swimsuit and got wet!
Too much turned out to be not much at all."Our actions may be impeded . . . but there can be no impeding our intentions or dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting."-- Marcus Aurelius2 -
Friday's "JUST TOO MUCH" was several colleagues and friends coming to check on me, call, text me...was so overwhelming that I cried several times. EVERYONE needs kindness, especially when things aren't going well...I was in SO MUCH PAIN this week, that I really needed that. It was more than appreciated...I was so appreciative...
Saturday's "JUST TOO MUCH" is another good one...my weight is coming down and my hard work is paying off in less pain and less swelling...cannot wait until I have another 30 days of this consistency under my belt (and off my body!!!)...this group (challenge) and my team (Shape Shifters) are such great support...thank you guys for being there!

Thanks to everyone who participated this week! Reading your comments lifted my spirit many times this week...thankful to all of you for being such a great source of support during tough times. You'll never know HOW MUCH you mean to me!
