Good morning, folks.
More walking around with very little to show for the effort yesterday, except for the visit to St. Mark"s Basilica. We didn't make it to the Jewish Ghetto because the distance was too large to cover from St. Mark's before the Ghetto would shut down for Shabbat - because of the 1-day boat strike they announced on Thursday. Still ended up with 21k steps.
As for St. Mark's - get the ticket and the extras if you've got the knees to handle about 30 steep stairs. It'll set you back 20€, but the added stuff really is worth it.
We also did a gondola ride yesterday. And shopped. Boy did we shop. Total haul was a pair of shoes sold in an Italian store that were certainly made in China, but whatever.
And Men-folk should make sure they poop at the hotel before going out for the day. Italians take the toilet seats off to keep guys from blowing up their bathrooms.

Great looking trip, Lou.
Rather than do something truly productive, yesterday, I drove to Tacoma and shopped for some really expensive (for me, at least) casual shoes. I now have a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers to break in, part of the Heritage line. They'll last me the rest of my life. First time in decades a shoe salesman has fitted me, put my shoes on and laced and tied them. Like a trip down memory lane.
Grandkids this morning, college football in the afternoon. Somewhere in there I need to try to return a new laptop I bought for Rita last month. It won't run on battery power.0 -

Sun has finally appeared this morning after heavy fog. Cooler temps coming next week.
DS has been by to take.my vest to have more patches sown on
Need to get pressure washer out and clean front of house, may get done.
DW has to go dress DMIL's legs where she kept hitting and picking at them till they are infected; nurse goes out couple times a week but not on weekends.
DN is doing better where they are now hoping to do a bone marrow transplant. donner has already been located.

Hi all.
We didn't have power since last night...finally back on.
We went for a fun hike. Walked by an abandoned rock quarry. Rocks still on the conveyor. And an oasis in the middle desert. You could see where the water pools when it rains and there were palm trees instead of just cactus.
Ron's getting a ,massage now and we might go listen to some music this afternoon.
Niece lost 2 games in a row so they ended their season 33-2 with a 4th place trophy. The 3 teams that place above them are all within 50 miles of each other so play often. Her team would have welcomed a little more competition this season. They has very few hard matches.0
