So after I did the Capt Face Plant thing, I got to take a cold shower. Per the lady at the desk, the hot water has been off and on during the last week. :o
But both girls had a good day. Lucy did a wee bit better than her mum with third place.kwdth5ob4cxr.jpg

Got home about 10:30 PM last night after having dinner with field trial friends. Had a very point expensive crock of French onion soup and it was well worth it.
M is still in Colorado...we talk every morning over coffee and gush over our grandkid. I can't wait to see them in December.
Sam, you are right about face plant thing being a concern if it happens again. I thought it felt like I stepped on a shoe lace, but shoe laces were tied when I got up. Hoping it was the cuff of the long and loose pants I was wearing and not something in my head. :#

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

I have osteoarthritis. Most notably in my left hip. Yesterday, I was helping Connie repot a 7+ foot rubber tree. It is the only holdover plant from the kid's funeral 14 years ago. It was having some root rot issues so we took it out on the deck, and pulled it from the pot. The we washed all the old soil off its roots and repotted it in a new pot with new soil. It is very heavy. We got it inside and I was picking it up to put it on its glass saucer in the corner where it goes. My hip locked up and I did a face plant right into the tree. I know rubber tree, I should have bounced back. But I slammed my knee into the floor and hit my head on Connie's chair. I didn't have any permanent damage and I didn't break the tree or pot. I am very stiff and sore this morning. I scared Connie, but I also scared me. That is only one of a couple of falls that I have had because of the arthritis and not being able to get my hip to behave. I sat in the hot tub this morning and that is helping. I was too stiff to do that last night. I was afraid I'd fall and drown.

Today is Sunday rest day. Church this morning. Chiefs (another form of church for a lot of people) this afternoon. Chiefs vs. Broncos.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Well, I haven't fallen down for a few days, so that's something. Not much chance, yesterday, anyway, as I spent about 10 hours watching college football. The Beavers looked bad, but the Ducks and WSU Cougars rolled.

Way to go Lucy! Love the photo.

Church this morning, then whatever Rita wants in the afternoon. I don't know who the Seahawks are losing to today. Too many matadors on the offensive line. I've turned to rooting for former Duck quarterbacks, so I will pull for Denver and the Chargers.

    Good Morning

The few times I have fallen, or came close, was usually related to the left hip muscle stiffness or spasm. But it does give me pause when it does happen. Nothing planned today. I found my wrench and tune in the bottom of a box of misc health stuff almost a week after I ordered replacements. Life is fun like that. But it gives me the opportunity to get tuning the beast after many months. It is out on it's stand, acclimated and ready for me to get to work.
