    Good morning!

Well, the leaf pick up is done for another year. I might still need to mow/mulch it one more time, but I won't need to pick up anything for another year. I have a very large pile of leaves in my garden. Perhaps I will try to grind them so that I can plow them into the garden in the spring. That won't happen anytime soon. It didn't go without some adventure. I ran out of gas while mowing. I filled the tank and it wouldn't start. The battery had been giving me fits, so I charged the battery while eating lunch. It still wouldn't start. I went and purchased a new batter ($39.92). It still wouldn't start. I watched a YouTube video that suggested I had air in the fuel line. I even put my mouth over the fuel fill hole and blew into it like the video suggested. I had disconnected the fuel line. I only got a little gas in my mouth. Sigh... That didn't work, so I watched another video. This one walked through the three safety switches on the mower. I'm sorry to admit that since I was mowing when it ran out of gas, the power take-off (runs the blades) was still on. I pulled the lever down and it started right up. How embarrassing. But, the yard is done, and I learned a lesson. Another sigh.....

It is raining this morning, so I'm glad that is done. I am very stiff and sore today, so not a lot of physical work will be done. I'm thinking desk work deciding on a Medicare plan for Connie, and a haircut. Perhaps make some lentil soup for dinner tonight.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Made it to my woodturning club meeting last night. First meeting I have made in several months. Always entertaining.

We had a rainy, windy night, so I am sure most of the remaining leaves are on the ground. Next time we get a dry day I'll run the mower through them and haul the result to Rita's garden.

    Good morning.

Jeesh Steve, consider yourself lucky you didn’t give yourself a haircut fixing that lawnmower.

Another dry day, still no rain forecasted, and another day on high alert for brush fires.

Driving to Rhode Island this morning to look over another Steinway piano. From the pictures it might be one from the period when they experimented with teflon bushings which resulted in noisy mechanisms that would be too hard to repair.

May stop at DD’s on the way home.

    Good Morning

The scope of knowledge you have attained on Piano's is rather impressive, Mike. I hope the Steinway does not disappoint. I spent yesterday making calls to sort through various insurance, move prescriptions, etc. Took a while. It is a terrible time of year to call about your AARP Medicare coverage. But, I got it all done. Today I will run a couple errands in between the rain drops. I am thinking I wil make a pot of chicken vegetable soup. I will wing it since the rough recipe I generally use is packed and in storage. Heather got her Covid shot yesterday and is quite achy in her joints, so I will keep her company in her misery. She broke out some old prescription mega ibuprofen tablets we still have.
