So very true. Thanks for all the condolences.
Already picked up and delivered pheasant for morning stocking at nearby farm for my hunt club. I used to hunt there, but recently the cover is being eaten down by beef cows that the farmer runs in there and the only place to put birds in the thorny stuff the cows won't eat. Not a place I want to run a flushing dog. Good way to turn it into a pointer. I will probably hunt other areas this afternoon.
That is frustrating about the eBay thing. There is a couple of forums that discuss it, but basically it seems, from what I have read, is that your only option is to make the purchase, then if the piano does not pass your inspection at pick up, then cancel the purchase.
HOAs are not all the same, or so I've been told. I am generally vehemently opposed, and I've been told that my extremist stand against HOAs borders on terrorism. DS#1 bought a home in an HOA in a Colorado Springs neighborhood, so far it has been pretty low key.
Cooler weather is calling for some satisfying soups or stews.

Good morning gentlemen.
So, today is the holiday bazaar I have been focusing on the last couple months. The car is all loaded and ready to go. We set up at the church at 8, with sales from 10 until 4. That's a long time to leave Sassy. I might run home in the early afternoon to let her out for some relief. In the past, business slowed after lunchtime, so Rita could handle it by herself.
You'd like our HOA, Lee. It doesn't do much of anything.
I finished a nice black walnut vase, yesterday, then cleared up the leaves on the lawn (for the last time this year, I think), before helping to set up tables and chairs for the bazaar at church, then packing our car. Tiring day.0 -
Good Morning,
Some HOA's are not so bad just make sure you read and understand bylaws and that board cannot add rules that are binding.
Good selling today.
Hope you are able to find home you and Heather like.
No way would I want to haul a piano up three flights of stairs.
DW has a mass on right breast and enlarged lymph node under right arm; biopsies scheduled for 22nd.
Tomorrow traveling across Georgia for DGS's birthday.0 -
Cold and windy today. DGS football game later. At least sun is out. Hope he gets in and plays.
Hiked up and down the local mountain yesterday with an old friend (78 years old actually). Started at 9:30 and finished around 2:30. The ski slopes have some man made snow already. Nice day.
Lost a few pounds this week. Finally. Back down under 200 again.
I got the eBay piano seller’s address finally so at least I can go check it out tomorrow. It’s a 1908 mfr date, but they still make same model today—for $51,000. Must have been be a decent instrument.

Good Morning
Sam, I will be praying for DW
Good Day yesterday the small house we otherwise liked will not work for us. Heather has some concerns about the other house which I really liked. Mostly it is storage. A couple more came on the market in the afternoon. Heather's leaving for Minnesota to visit her sister today and which will give us some time to step back and think it through and decide. Celtic Advent started last night for the Northumbria Community which I am part of. Today I will join a small group I joined meets on Zoom for a weekly gathering to do that days Advent liturgy and interact. Patrick will drive his mom to the airport so I can attend.0 -
Yea Lee I like that quotation. My condolences added too for Babe's litter mate. All my dogs have been sweethearts and my cats too.
Lots of Ts and Ps for your DW Sam and her upcoming biopsies.
Glad you got an offer on your old place Bill and good luck hunting (for homes not pheasants) in Florence.
Wow not familiar with Northumbria Community and Celtic Advent.
Glad you got the address for the piano Mike. As a footnote when I was in graduate school we bought an upright grand piano with a wooden harp that ostensibly had gone around the horn. The price was right as the wooden harp was marginal. I tuned 3 octaves string by string gingerly for my DW which seemed to work ok. Extraordinarily heavy.
Been AWOL dealing with a refrigerator freezer failure for awhile. Luckily it has been mostly in the 40s outside so stored many refrigerator items in chests outside and used a small thermoelectric cooler to chill more fragile items. We bought beaucoup amount of dry ice for frozen stuff in styrofoam chest. Everything was still frozen a bit when the unit quit so OK. Had already done our homework on choices and got one installed yesterday. Seems ok.
Hang in there all!0
