Good morning. It's Vichyssoise Day which I just learned is a thing.

Long like tons of meetings long? Have to commute in long? We have a retreat that's 2-1/2 hours away on Tuesday/Wednesday. So to me, that's long.

Slept in on Saturday morning and that seems to have finally reset my internal clock.

We saw the Broadway musical "Shucked" yesterday, which if you've spent anytime on joke Twitter, makes me question if they ripped off half the script without attribution. The show was okay, but at the prices of those tickets... 🤔

    Mornin' BBB

Vichyssoise Day...seems like it should be during the summertime, cold soup in the fall does not sound appealing.
Sounds like you need to go back to see the headache doctor, Skip.

    Good morning

A lil toot of my horn...my WI this morning shows a 2lb. loss. Down 40.6#/20weeks. For years I used to WI on Friday or Sat mornings then spent the next week losing weekend gain. Pts splurge, for likely a wash. Now I weigh in on Mondays because that's when I see my doctor once a month, on Mondays. And i think that keeps me on track over weekend. Mind games. Also I can't drink any alcohol or indulge in fatty heavy calorie meals. I'll feel sick

Vichyssoise, seems it's a cold potato soup. And I have some left from Saturday family fun. But I won't be eating it cold today.

Cold. It's coming here this week. Temps fallin. Maybe even some light snow flurries. Blah

Dh is back at his sister's place this week, last few days there he hopes. I take her Friday to her post surgery Dr appt. She saw his PA last week to get staples out.

Have a wonderful day BBB friends!

    Morning gang

It was cool and rainy yesterday (60 or so all day) first rain here since we arrived in September. We didn't leave the house. Spent the morning trip planning and the afternoon playing a video game and doing food prep for the week.

We didn't really nail down any plans yet but have a tentative timeline for 2025. Here is bare bones. January-May South America garaging car near Houston, June-October road trip US and maybe a bit of Canada. If this is going well we will book a repositioning cruise to Australia. They leave mid Sept-Mid Oct from either Seattle or Hawaii. Then reposition back from Oceania in March and do another loop of North America in 2026. Nephew getting married sometime in late spring 2026 and I'd really like to go.

    Good morning BBB friends.

    Great losing, Mary. Inspirational.

Hope you can solve the headache dilemma, Skip.

Not a cold soup fan - cold pizza, yes, cold soup, no.

With the push toward the holiday bazaar over, I can now turn to Thanksgiving. We're celebrating early, on Saturday. The clan will be up in Seattle at DDIL's sister's apartment on Thanksgiving Day. The turkey comes out of the freezer today, and I shop for a bunch of supplies I'll need. Cooking will be a two or three-day operation. Oh, and I have to drive down to Oregon on Wednesday. The estate-sale people handling our mom's house want us all (brother, sister and me) to do a walk through to make sure there isn't anything we want to keep before the sale this weekend.

Our two best options for US to Australia is celebrity or Holland America.
