    Good morning!

It is cold now in Kansas. I like the cold, but it takes me a few days to embrace it. I'm just looking for the wind to die down a bit and I can pick up the last of the leaves for the season and so I can burn brush.

I am going to try and fix my truck today so that I can get it to the shop and get the brakes fixed. I think that someone tried to break into my truck which is why the door handle is broken. I need to get that fixed, and it is something that I can do, before I take it to the shop. I cannot fix squishy brakes. I can maybe do that, but it is better for me to just pay to have that done.

I'm still nursing shoulder pain and trying to decide if I need to see a doc or not. I am tempted to go to a chiropractor, but I am trying not to do that. It is hard to break a 40 year habit there.

I'm not sure what other adventures await today.

    Have a great day!

Good morning. I’ve been AWOL since Friday apparently. Fell down the piano rabbit hole and just came up for air.

We’re still in a severe drought on fire alert. Found a river with enough water thanks to clever beavers and paddled yesterday. Hiked when we got as far as we could and turned back upstream. No wildlife at all except for a kingfisher, but a day on the water is always great.

Dave, sounds like a great time at the craft fair.

Pheasant soup. Might one day get into hunting … so far Ninetendon Duck Hunt game is my only experience.

Bill, house will come along eventually—keep the faith.

I went Sunday to see the Steinway. It’s 116 years old, but the frame and soundboard and moving parts all look solid and the notes all play. Lots of worn felt to replace and some missing ivory but all stuff I have done. Offered $700 and they accepted. Figuring out moving it now. Best is the cabinet has been beautifully.

It’s a Vertigrand— same as the antique piano at Abbey Road Studio the Beatles used.

Rain promised later this week. Much needed here.

    Good Morning,
Pablo got his yearly shots yesterday and does not want to put his right rear leg down.
Rain this morning so really do not want to take him for a walk
Orthopedic this morning to discuss shoulder.
Breast center setup appointments for DW with surgeon for December 10th which seems to have gotten DW's attention she says they haven't done biopsies yet, nurse had tried to show her scans and e-rays.
Doctor will x-ray and be able to tell if it is soft tissue or bone issue, I do not like pain so want issues handled.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Sorry about all the pain/medical issues. They seem to pile up at times.

I look forward to hearing how you MacGyver the move of that piano up to your apartment, Mike.

The big bomb cyclone didn't affect us. Lots of power outages to our north and west, and heavy snow in the mountains. Just cold and nasty here. I did spend a few hours in the shop. More of the same today.

    Good Morning

Sam, I hope they can answer your wife's questions so she can have some peace of mind before the 10th.

Today is the day we are to get the least amount of rain, just a quarter inch here and less on the coast. So I will head over to Florence to pick up our mail which includes some meds. I have a few other errands to run as well once I make it back. My California Realtor called yesterday to bring me up to speed. The appraisal seems to have gone well and there really aren't any other barriers at this point to closing on time or earlier since there were no contingencies in their offer. They will send a notary to us next month to handle our end of the signing. Works for me.

Steve. Good luck getting the door handle and brakes fixed.
Wow Mike sorry about all the drought and dry conditions on the East Coast. Glad you found a nice piano!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife Sam.

Yup no bomb cyclone issues here either. Really less than normal somewhat gusty winds. Plenty of rain but no flooding.
Good luck with your house sale in CA and your house hunting in Oregon.
Gosh lots of prayers for all.

Off for my Echocardiogram today but I don't expect much.
