Happy Thanksgiving!

My only excuse for the wrong day yesterday is that I am slipping so far into retirement now that I get the days mixed up? Sheesh!

Today will be a late dinner with Connie, Collin, and myself. Collin worked until 2:30 this morning, so we are planning on 4:30 this afternoon. I have a turkey breast and all the trimmings. I also have a lot of freezer bags on hand.

Today should be pretty relaxing. There will be some meal prep, but not too bad. With the later meal, that too takes some of the pressure off.

Low key Thanksgiving for us. Jeremiah is not with us which is hard for us. His car is not up to the drive per his mechanic and he didn't want to take us up on our 'fly up on us' offer. Limited cooking capabilities here, so we ordered a pre made feast from Whole Foods which I picked up yesterday. Since he now isn't coming we have way too much food as I increased the feast size when we thought he was coming from just enough to way too much. But I have a couple recipes up my sleeve and will freeze some of it. We swapped counter's on the house yesterday. Price is not an issue but they threw in a crazy short term rent back at a very low price. About 2.5% on our payment to them. I suggested we just move the closing date the week or so they need and avoid the complication entirely and do the deal. Deadline isn't till Friday so it doesn't need to interfere with the day.
