I've been waking at 5AM lately, no matter what I do.

Bill, hope the house buying escapade works out finally.

End of week temps here will be low teens at night, low 20s days. Unusual this early. Might even get some icefishing in this year...? Two years ago we had a mild winter with one freak weekend of 21 below zero.

    Onward and downward.

    Mornin' gents

Same weather here, Mike. But the pups demand a romp in the fields and I get some exercise a well. Some birds may die as a result and find their way into my crockpot. But we have to wait until 9 AM on Sundays.
Next Sunday, dropping M off at airport with cat by 6 AM and then working girls at a tower shoot.
Currently dealing with cat-in-lap. I think the cat will miss my lap.
Congrats on signing a contract, Bill!

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

12 degrees here when I took Frankie outside. I really am not ready for winter yet.

Groceries this morning, and then it is back to Sunday rest day. We don't have any meat in the house other than leftover turkey.

I am envious of those who have new houses in new locations.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Our spell of cool dry days continues. It's 34 and foggy, heading for 43 this afternoon. December.

Never got out to hang lights, yesterday, so that is probably in my future for this afternoon. Seahawks play while we're at church, so there is no competition for my attention.

Ducks wrapped up an undefeated regular season and got some revenge on the UW. Happy times. Penn State is next up.

    Good Morning!

I kept tab on the Ducks yesterday. It was good to see them return to form after their Wisconsin escapade.

Yesterday was a full day. I got a call from my California Realtor to remind me the Monday was signing day and that the bank had approved the final appraisal report and were going to close this Wednesday, 10 days early. We decided to head to Florence for the day since it was going to be a sunny day at the coast and warmer than cloudy Eugene and we were worn down by trying to get a deal closed. We joked about the three of us driving over to house and standing across the street just staring. By lunch we hadn't heard anything from our sellers once again on the open counter and decided to let the house go and talked about some of the homes we had passed on. Too much energy and stress on our end and seemingly little from the sellers. This should have been wrapped up days ago. Around 3;15 and email arrived from our realtor who had pushed them to the finish line and we were under contract. Monday afternoon I will drop off the deposit and we are scheduling the home inspection which should be routine. It gives us a chance to get into measure for furniture decisions. Thankfully we will never be doing this again.

Dave: waved at Tumwater when we went to and fro to Seattle by AMTRAK train. Colder at our house than Seattle or Olympia. 26 degrees this morning and I panicked and went outside to start dealing with the outside faucet. It's OK.
Had a wonderful time in a place near Gig Harbor Washington visiting the Bacon Christmas Tree Farm. HUGE place. Wonderful tailgate type party followed by brunch at a wonderful house nearby. AMAZING huge garage converted to massive woodworking shop with all the bells and whistles to do everything from small pieces to hardwood decking and much much more.

My son had one degree from UW (MBA) and roots for the Huskies. Oregon just took it to them Saturday and are seemingly on-track. No college team has been perfect by any means all year including Gerorgia, Ohio State, Indiana and others. Hopefully for us they can get by Penn State next week-end but will be tough game I think.
Good to be back home again. Good luck bill w house stuff.

Oh Gosh can't even imagine moving a heavy piano upstairs by lifting. Uhhh not happening even when I played football.
