Cloudy this morning, not as cold as has been. Went to DS's (and EX's) house for birthday dinner for him, which he cooked. Roast beef, grilled asparagus and foil baked potatoes on the grill, plus sauteed scallops. He works in a pizza & sandwich joint, and likes cooking for people. Watched the Patriots throw another game away. EX has pneumonia, 4th or 5th time in a year. On antibiotic and steroids. I'm trying to get her to go to a doctor that helps post-COVID problems, which I think underlies it all. She almost died in 2021, was in the hospital 2 weeks and laid up for months. Family needs her moral support in a lot of ways.

Steve, hope you get your ribs healed up and there's nothing rattling around in there. Bill, when will you move into new home? Dave, keep turning those bowls. I see upscale country stores selling big ones for hundreds.

Lee, I remember a friend in college who had a car he said got 25 miles to a gallon of oil. Wee tractor will be okay,

Piano was still here when I woke up this morning, so I wasn't dreaming, and it still says Steinway on the front... Making to-do list and parts and supplies shopping. Nobody's come and told me to move it out yet...

    Good morning!

Mike, that is so awesome about the piano. What a wonderful gift for you. You will get hours and hours of joy from that restoration project.

The diagnostic imaging place opens at 8:00. I will likely be there not much after that. I just want to know what's going on in there with the ribs.

I know what I want to get Connie for Christmas, but with the fall, I have not been out shopping. I cannot get what I'm thinking about online, I want to buy in person. I'm hoping that I can get out tomorrow.

Lee, let me know as your plans develop. If we can even do a short meet and greet by the Interstate, that would be awesome.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,
Very foggy and cool this morning but should warm into 60's.
ROMEO's (Really Old Men Eating Out) this morning.
DW has more test scheduled for Thursday and Friday plus consultation with oncologist Friday afternoon.
With stuff going on have not thought much about Christmas shopping.

    Good morning gentlemen.

There are no good words of comfort for what you are going through, Sam. I know how hard it is to stay strong, supportive and comforting while you spouse is going through a frightening health crisis. Praying for you both.

Bill, Bob, Mike, Lee and Steve, I don't comment often enough about my admiration for how you rise above the obstacles life throws in your path. An inspiring group.

Didn't make it into the shop yesterday, so I will today. Still have that large, challenging piece of madrone on my lathe.

    Good Morning...barely

Sam, the cancer stuff can be all consuming. I remember shutting down a lot of stuff early on, including putting our house on the market. We scaled Christmas back as well. We are praying for you both

I had to get out early after prayer to the Bank to discuss the wire for the house. At one point he told me I could just do it with the app. When I mentioned the limits on those wires he said it was like $200K which I mentioned wouldn't quite cover a house. He was 1/3 my age and clueless. I go back on Wednesday. Got home and found an email from my agent to clean up some forms she hadn't gotten us to sign. One included the news that the washer/dryer and storage cabinets in the garage were excluded. It seems it was in the private realtor notes she had. We go shopping for a washer/dryer tomorrow. We will need to order the cabinets we were counting on them for extra kitchen and house storage which is what they used them for. When I calm down a bit I will get back to the realtor. She dropped the ball.
