Steve, I will be rolling through KC late afternoon early evening on Friday. I would love to grab a cup of coffee or a quick bite with you. If that doesn't work then maybe on the flip flop.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Lee, that should work fine. Let's keep in touch on that. If, however, you start feeling pressed for time for some reason, we can meet up on your return.

I got my ribs x-rayed yesterday, but I have not heard the results yet. I am still in some pain, and I feel movement in there. My health insurance switches Dec 31. I am going to another gap insurance that does not allow for pre-existing conditions. I hope this all works out.

I was thinking that I'd drive to Leavenworth today to shop for Connie, but I think I'll postpone that to tomorrow as I might have over done it again yesterday with several small tasks. I feel trapped by these ribs.

Prayers continue in earnest for Sam and DW.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,
Pablo has had his morning walk,
Making up and help deliver fruit baskets to widows for lodge.
Need to make an Aldi run today and may get haircut,
End of week more test for DW and consultation with oncologist.
Should get up to low 70's today, front comes through tomorrow and temps drop to highs in 40's.
    Safe travels Lee.
Hope ribs are better soon Steve,
Dave, I agree you are not getting enough for your turnings.
Slow and meticulous Mike, and you will have a great Steinway.
Hope you are able to get an appointment Bill, recommend get old doctor's office to give new doctor a call for referral.
Hope Bob is well, has not posted in several days.

    Good morning gentlemen.

A bit milder today, high up to 50, but rain all day. No long walk for Sassy and me. Rita and I have dental cleanings/checkups this afternoon.

I think I do some pretty good work on my turnings - not at all like the works of art that make magazine covers, but better than average for my turning club. Pricing things to sell is not an easy decision. I see pieces in galleries and think "Mine are at least that good." But I sell a few things a year, mostly to friends, and at a single holiday bazaar. I don't want to take advantage of the former, and those attending the latter are not the sort to pay premium prices. I also want to get things out of my house and into someone else's. A couple weeks ago a woman came up after church and told me she had people over for dinner the night before and served a salad in a bowl she got from me. "Everyone commented on how beautiful it was, and how much they admired a vessel made from a native tree." That was worth more to me than what she paid me for the bowl.

Mike the piano looks amazing. Not surprised that your HO rules are just limiting piano teaching and the usual stuff. Pretty typical. Glad ya got it moved and all in one piece. Beautiful.

Steve: so sorry about your ribs. OUCH. I have had some broken ones and one that was disarticulated (pulled away)from the backbone attachment. Oh well old story. Hang in there. and good luck with your issue.
Lee reminded me about my first car that I bought for $150. an old Pontiac with a straight 8 engine. I "filled it with oil and checked the gas" at service stations. Carried a gallon can of oil in the trunk as I recalled.

Lots of Ts and Ps headed your way Sam for you and your DW with all her cancer stuff.

I "lucked out" yet again with my lymphoma cancer testing yesterday. My non-Hodgkins B-cell marginal zone lymphoma is still pretty indolent (lazy is good for cancer stuff). My white cell count was up a pinch but still a lot lower than at its peak or in recent years. My Hbg is slightly lower than normal as is my hematocrit for RBC's about the same as usual. I suppose it is just enough to make me a bit more tired than otherwise. I always worry but was reassured that things are "ok".

Just very soggy, rainy chilly but "mild" in our neck of the PNW right now.

Good to "see" ya all over the holidays!

    Good Morning

It was good to hear a good report Bob on the cancer testing. Prayers continue.

Steve, Gap insurance with out allowing for per-existing conditions seems wrong. I hope it was dirt cheap. Most people on Medicare have some sort of ongoing conditions.

We got a few docs to sign yesterday my realtor hadn't sent us as she was checking her files. One of them was the MLS listing info which indicated in the private realtor notes that the washer/dryer and the garage cabinet used as a pantry were to be excluded. We were not happy to find this out. Had our realtor let us know we would have bid/negotiated a bit different. We are off to Florence to order some appliances and get our mail. We will swing by Home Depot to take a look at Garage storage cabinets. We got the settlement sheet yesterday as well. All is in order and we will arrange the wire tomorrow at the bank. Soggy weather these days but very pleasant temps considering. Not my favorite weather to make that drive in.
