Exciting times—now we’ll know for sure Lee’s not a chat bot.

Yesterday a Home Depot computer called and told me the truck I rented Friday for 1 1/2 days was overdue and to please return it. Then I got an email saying HD charged my credit card $1,100 for 5 days rental. I drove to the store and the service desk woman called her supervisor who said she’d have to talk to the regional rental manager and get back to me. “It might take awhile to resolve.”

FYI, I went for a long walk before I went to the store, so I wouldn’t strangle anybody. Probably a Good thing.

Heard an old friend is hospitalized with sepsis but has turned a corner for the better. EX is finally going to a pulmonologist to see why she keeps getting pneumonia, thank God. I think it’s a long-COVID thing.

Piano class today at a student’s home, with potluck Christmas goodies. She has a grand piano in the living room of her gorgeous home. Then 4 y.o. DGS Christmas carol concert.

I’m enjoying tending the woodstove at DD’s house. Place is amazingly warm with just wood heat.

    Onward and downward.

    Good morning!

Mike, that sounds awful with the truck. I hope that they get that resolved quickly.

Speaking of messed up paperwork, I called my doctor's office yesterday about the x-rays. The doctor does not work on Wednesday. The results were in, but they were not connected to my account correctly. The doctor will read them today and call me. Meanwhile, my ribs hurt more yesterday than they had in several days. With or without the reading, they don't go in and set ribs anymore unless there is an issue with the lungs, and I don't think that is the case. I'm hoping that they feel better today, but it is not looking promising already.

I'm looking forward to meeting Lee tomorrow. We've talked on the phone a few times.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Woke up too early this morning, but I like the quiet time alone anyway.

Safe driving Lee. Hope the weather is OK on your way.

Hope the X-rays don't show anything, Steve.

The deacons in our church brought gifts of Christmas cookies to all the members of the congregation. Rita told me she didn't like them and that I needed to take care of them. Sadly, last night I did what she asked. Hey, they were cookies. Not great cookies, but homemade and deserving of proper disposal, right? Sigh. I ate the whole bag. At least there is no more temptation.

    Good Morning

Safe Travels Lee. I hope you can connect with Steve.

That is quite a wood pile you have there Mike.

We close on the house today at long last. I wired funds yesterday which escrow confirmed receiving, so title should record sometime this afternoon. We get keys late Monday. Today is some delayedChristmas scrambling. Knowing my son is coming up for sure and the house stuff being more stable has injected a bit more energy into our low key Christmas. Heather has some shopping and then I will steal off in the car to get her one more gift in Florence. Christmas Dinner is being re-discussed.
