Dave, that'd be me with the cookies, or whatever somebody left with me. When people get me to take leftover sweets from a party or book club or bible study, if I don't toss them in the trash on the way home they end up in my stomach and on my waist. My old diet program used to say, your stomach is not a garbage can.

I bet they were good, though.

DGS's Christmas pageant was nice yesterday. K-8 school did a play with brief scenes followed by another class singing a carol. DD driving to Buffalo today to get a haircut from her old hairdresser because nobody here can do it right...

Hanging around today waiting for grill delivery, and DD's dog, who will be with me till they get home from Mexico vacation.

Piano Christmas party yesterday was nice--7 of us. Teacher asked me to play my song I wrote two Christmases ago and said I should write another one. I told him it was a one-hit wonder.

    Good morning!

Mike, sounds like you are having great times.

I am really looking forward to meeting Lee this afternoon.

For those that didn't see it on FB, I have an acute displaced rib fracture. My first ever official broken bone. I may have broken a toe or pinky finger before, but not doctor diagnosed. I'm supposed to take it easy as it heals. For now, no lifting over 10 pounds. I'm to wear a wrap loosely "like a dog collar" around my chest. Even though it is displaced, the doctor says it is "slightly" displaced. No surgery or resetting is suggested. If I take care of it, it will heal itself in 3-6 months. My doctor sees both Connie and I and when he called, I put him on speaker. He was razzing Connie. He said that I was to do no house cleaning, and I was to have daily foot massages. She was not amused when I put that on FB. The real instructions were "if it hurts, don't do it".

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

Gotta love the Dr's sense of humor, though Connie may disagree. Enjoy your meetup with Lee.

Title recorded midday yesterday as I hoped. The sellers still owe us one thing regarding proof of repair. The guy who crawled under the house to fix the insulation says he forgot to take pictures. We have a copy of his invoice. We have no leverage now, but I told my realtor to keep pushing their agent anyway. Today is DMV day at last and to pick up mail. I have to make a bunch of calls as well. We have shifted to Christmas planning and transition planning.

Ha ha. Yea my DW broke a rib landing atop a 14" terracotta flowerpot. Hers was only slightly displaced but still hurts much later. It was on same side as her mastectomy previously which exacerbates the situation.
I would say that breaking a rib is one of the worst choices for a first noticeable broken bone.

Mike that just suxxxxx about the truck deal with Home Depot.
    Yup enjoy the meet-up Lee!!

Bill glad your escrow is going thru in good shape.

    Cheers all!

    Good afternoon gentlemen.

I forgot to check in this morning. Guess I am getting old.

Hope Steve and Lee are enjoying meeting up.

Congratulations of the closing, Bill. You're an Oregonian now.

We're unusually warm, today - 57 degrees. I finally serviced the lawn mower - oil change, cleaned spark plug, sharpened blades. So, I am ready for spring. Bring it on.
