Up at the crack of dawn with DD's dog, Rosie. Friends who had her last few days left for Pennsylvania this morning, and dog came last night. She got me up at 4 to go out. I took a loaf of bread out of the freezer last night and it has seemingly disappeared, wrapper and all--not off to a good dog-sitting start.

Got DD's piano tuned yesterday, probably a first pass, as it was very out of tune and will have to settle in and get fine tuned again.

Keeping the woodstove going has kept the place very comfortable, but next three nights will be frigid outside, 5-below windchill.

I think I need to go back to bed, but Rosie is out in the yard and will come in when she feels like it.

    Have a good day everyone.

Proof of happening. Thankfully, the sun came out. Cold but really good to share a cup of coffee with Steve. Had a hard time getting the girls to look up for the group selfie. Had to put treats in the shirt sleeve of the hand holding the camera (and they kept falling out!). Not a great result, but but Steve kept smiling through many retakes.

    Good morning!

It was great meeting Lee yesterday. It was a short visit, but we have known each other for so long now that it was very comfortable talking with an old friend. Lee, I hope that you have a great hunt, a safe drive, and a very Merry reunion with your family in Colorado.

My rib was really hurting yesterday. I think that I did too much again. A lot of rest today and watching the Chiefs play this afternoon.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Glad you were able to meet up. Great photos.

Going to a local play of A Christmas Carol, this afternoon, then dinner at DS' house. It is a dinner party for DDIL's sister's in-laws. They're in town from Delaware. Rita is staying home. She isn't feeling up to it.

    Good Morning

Great that you two were able to meet up. Lee, I see Sarah Jane is embroidered on your vest....nice. I used to love reading her blog.

Yesterday was a bit of a waste beyond retrieving mail and incoming Christmas packages. Turns out the guidance we were given on getting our license didn't factor in the Real ID and the need to re-document it for our new state. So we will have to wait till we unpack and pull out our file boxes. We snagged some lunch explored a couple of stores and headed downtown for a coffee and to plan out the next 2 weeks. At least I got the utilities switched over. Last night we reserved a small condo apt in Old Town Florence for a week till we can get unloaded and the beds set up etc. Today I am scheduling the delivery of our stuff. We are waiting till after my son heads home. We want to spend time with him more than we want his labor. We planned some activities for the few days he is here. It has been decided that I am cooking for Christmas which I was hoping to avoid this year. Normally I would just do prime rib, but I believe she who is ultimately in charge has other ideas. Perhaps I will prevail. Prime Rib can be easy or elaborate. I am not doing elaborate.
