Frosty morning here. Spent yesterday with some of the fam, who think Christmas is celebrating football and basketball all day by watching other people play on TV. We did go for a nice walk around the neighborhood and DS fixed us a nice brunch. Saw friends who lost a daughter to flu and sepsis two years ago, for whom Christmas is now a time of mixed emotions.
Piano lessons resume today at Senior Center. I have to get screws at the hardware store so I can attach casters on my piano which is now sprawling on it's back in the living room along with piles of tools and equipment... Once done I can move it against the wall, load equipment in SUV and put in storage, so my place will no longer be an obstacle course.
Back on the diet again today, after holiday lapse...
Onward and downward.

Good morning!
We had a very nice Christmas at our house. WAY too much food, and we'll have leftovers for a few days.
I'm hoping to get a few things done around the house today, but I over did it a little yesterday. Overall, my rib is feeling better, and I can do a few more things now, but I still have to be very careful with it and take lots of rest breaks. I can tell that healing is taking place. It is hard for me not to rush anything.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Wonderful Christmas and prime rib. DSIL's DM made prosciutto wrapped endives with some sort of cheese sauce that was sublime. DS#1 nailed the prime rib. I actually did track everything, including the nuts and dried fruit before dinner.
The First and the Third after the Third got a bath after getting a tab messy at dinner.
You got a while to go with that rib, Steve.
Mike are you taking notes for your upcoming novel Autopsy of a Steinway?
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
I admire you tracking yesterday, Lee. I didn't - and probably won't today, either, as we work on the full fridge of leftovers. Our grandkids stayed over, and I think Lola Rita is making blueberry waffles for breakfast.
Great photo with the grandson, by the way.0 -
Good Morning
Lee, you look like a proud and happy Grandfather!
Dave, that was quite a spread Rita put on!
We had a very nice Christmas. Too much food, not tracked. Too much snacking which is a bit of a tradition but this year it was a bit much. Prime rib came out just right but it was just too much food and I felt the rest of the night. Heather and the Boys attempted a walk but the weather won out and they turned back. Today we are off to Florence for furniture delivery along with the washer dryer. They are getting heavy showers over there today so it will be a fun drive there and back. We were going to take my son on a drive to show him the area but perhaps not. I had just started tracking a few days ago but didn't even try yesterday.0 -
wonderful photo of the you and the grand kid Lee. sounds like you had a nice Christmas and wonderful eats.
I enjoyed watching Northern Illinois beat Fresno State a couple of days ago in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl..I finally remembered that they beat Notre Dame in South Bend this year. No football or basketball for us yesterday. Ate some wonderful brisket Christmas eve and had leftover brisket with over easy egg atop a wonderful local bakery sour dough English muffin. Very rainy yesterday but in an early soggy ride. Escaped the rain this morning for an early ride.
Listen to Lee Steve. Ribs (sadly) take a looooong time to heal as those of us who have broken or cracked them know.
Stay warm and dry all and have a nice day after today.0 -
God does answer prayers!
After being told last Friday that they did not think chemo, radiation or surgery would help DW due to cancer having spread to stomach and adrenal glands, today they decided mass in abdomen not malignant and will start chemo January 7th every 3 weeks for 4 to 6 treatments could go up to 10. Then possible radiation and then surgery. Great news to DW and family.1
