HNY, everyone! Hopeful everyone enjoyed their evening.
Dinner was not pointless friendly but the wine and the steak ( of course my date) were exceptional.
Homebound a bit later this morning.
Cheers

Mornin' BBB
Happy New Year. Same as above, but had entertainment by a 17 month old, and it was surprisingly good take out Thai (not a single Asian in the place, not even in the kitchen), blueberry port and stilton, and then DDIL made a glorious coconut cake for M. Used up all my weeklies and went into the negative because I tracked all of it. It was a point massacre. I wish it was just steak and wine.
Packing up and heading out soon for good ol' St Louie.
Colorado, I'll "be bach".

Happy New Year BBB Friends.
- I stayed up long enough to watch the ball drop in Times Square.
- Sounds like a nasty situation on Bourbon Street. There are crazy people out there.
- The highlight of today is football and end of year accounting.
- Had a good motorbike ride yesterday. Stopped and visited the Iron Horse sculpture between here and Athens. It's been gone all summer for refurbishing.

Good morning BBB friends. Happy New year!
We stayed up to watch the ball drop, too. Sassy was unpleased that we weren't following the prescribed schedule. "Bedtime is 10 o'clock, people!"
Rita wants to start walking, again, so we will be out this morning. Rose Bowl this afternoon - Go Ducks!0 -
Good morning and Happy New Year!
So.. You did everything right. You gave the little poop factory his meds - a double portion - so you could have 90 minutes for a nice dinner with your wife. You gave the meds to him an hour and a half before departure time just like the vet said. You walked him all day to run his batteries down ahead of time.
And then he sings like Pavoratti in a Dunkin Donuts commercial the moment you leave the house. Maybe he'll settle down like last time after a few minutes? You keep the baby monitor going and head to your destination. But. He. Doesn't. Stop. No amount of correction or pleading with the dog for 90 minutes alone as a couple works.
So you ask the waitress to make your order to go and you go home to eat you nice dinner "out".
Because it's a dog, the concept of cause and effect is lost on him, so you can't really do anything to "punish" the bad behavior. Your night out was ruined and you've just got to accept it.

Happy New Year BBB!
I retired after the NY ball dropped also. DH switched to the Nashville Central time coverage. Then I hear the bad news from there this morning. Confirms my lack of desire to be in large crowds these days.
It's lightly snowing here now.
I have plans to start a formal walking plan if even inside on my dreadmill.
Safe travels to those on the roads today....

Hi all.
We are at our Airbnb near the coast outside of Houston. It is a cute new trailer. Neighborhood is pretty run down and many, many fireworks nd parties last night. Today is surprisingly quiet. I wanted a hotel suite w/ kitchenette but Ron wanted an Airbnb for more room.
All of our vaccines had me pretty run down yesterday...hitting Ron today. But our shopping is pretty much done. Waiting on an Amazon package and I might keep looking for pants. I found a pair at Eddie Bauer that are OK but they have jogger hems which I don't love.
Hit the grocery store today for food for the week. $100 including a case of beer. Better than I expected after all the news reports. Gas is half the price of Mexico.0
