    Rise and shine.

Very cold, but need to get out and walk today. The cold has deterred me a bit. Contrary to most of my neighbors I'm hoping we get some of that snowstorm here. Snowshoeing and XC skiing both get me outdoors. Meanwhile there should be some good ice now for icefishing. I don't skate, because when I do all that happens is I hurt myself. My DGSs put me to shame with their hockey playing.

Have a good day everyone. Time for coffee...

    Good morning!

I am NOT going outside for a while. We have at least 10 inches of snow. It seemed as if every federal and state highway in the eastern half of Kansas and western half of Missouri were/are closed. With all of the ice under the snow, this has been a very rare storm for us. I understand that yesterday's snowfall was the fourth largest in 140 years of recording.

I will be getting several inside jobs done today. Collin's work was closed for today. We don't know about tomorrow. He won't be able to get his car out anyway I don't think. The snow blower is in the shed, and I can't move it because of my rib. I don't think that Collin has the gumption to try to get it out. That is sad. I didn't think that we'd be needing it before I broke my rib. Now, I can't get it out of the shed because of the pushing/pulling required.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

No cold here. It will be a bland 45 degrees all day. I have errands to run today: banking, groceries, Home Depot. I still have that large maple bowl on the lathe, too. It's dry, so we'll get our walking done this morning.

I was down 1 lb. yesterday, but still on the wrong side of 170. I can tell by the snugness of my belt, anyway. Slow and steady, I guess.

    Good Morning

It has warmed up and we should be done with any significant rain for the next 10 days or so. I like it. We are celebrating Heather's 67th birthday today at a nice restaurant here in Old Town. We are about done at the house just a few oddities to tuck away. The bulk of our stuff will be unloaded on Friday. we are pretty much ready for it now and the kitchen is in pretty good shape. We have paid for another week of rent here so the transition should be easy. Only piece missing is the bedroom furniture that is on order. Today we are switching out some lighting and putting up a vanity mirror and stashing away the empty flattened boxes. We need to save them for sheet mulching the front lawn. We will get out for a walk.

Prayers for Joanne & Sam as she starts this next stage of treatment

Good morning. We are at 4 inches instead of 12.

    Scale slipping down several pounds.

I hope everyone has. Good day.
