- Up way way too late watching a good game that we barely won v. Bucs. We'll take the W. Lions next week gonna be even more tough! Ownership group has done amazing turning the Redskins around!
- Cool meetup with IG owners at Guinness brewery yesterday. Its definitely a cult'ish vehicle ownership group. Ecclectic for sure.
- (((Joanne))) hope she feels a little better today.
- CA fire images still continue to be surreal to see. T&Ps for those devastated. Firing squad for those that have chosen to loot. Incredible.

Redskins! I have been assured that folks west of the Blue Ridge still call the team by the original moniker. "Doink you very much" was one of the sports headlines this morning. Won the game by a field goal that doinked in off the up right goal post.
Funny, I used to hate the Redskins because I was a Cowboy's fan. Kinda the other way around now.
I would assume that you might meet some interesting people at an IG club gathering.
Hoping Joanne feels better today.
Looting seems to be a basic instinct in some people. I feel that whole situation in SoCal is the result of too many rats in too small a cage.

Morning BBB
Lee we flew to costa Rica and rented a car for the month. Not cheap but really the only way to get around without a tour.
Moving today to our next place. It's closer to the rainforest and on the edge of a town so more options for walk abouts. I'll miss the nearby brewery. Might take a tour of a coffee co-op today on the way if they have availability.
Finally booked airfare to Chile. Now we just need lodging for the next 3 weeks and we are settled for a bit.
Hope Joanne feels a bit better today.

I had the last game on my laptop while we were binge watching Season 1 of Downton Abbey. I was happy to see the Commanders win. I must tell you that I was very pleased when the team abandoned the old, racist moniker. Just to be open with you, I find its use offensive and have for 50 years, since a Native American college pal discussed his feelings with me. That said, I still like you all.
Quite cool but dry out here on Puget Sound. We'll get in a good walk this morning, then I'll play in the shop for a few hours.0 -

Dennis, you could find minorities who voted for Lester Maddox in Mississippi, too. That didn't mean he wasn't a racist. We have large indigenous population here, and you would be hard pressed to find any who support the return of the old name. Just because the mistakes of the past lasted a long time doesn't mean they weren't mistakes.0

We are influenced by the people we meet. My grandmother was Native American. She worked in a VA hospital in Denver where my grandfather was a patient after he was gassed in WWI. They were married and he took her to his home in Stafford, VA. My family have always been Redskins fans.0
