- The city is abuzz. Gridlock and fencing everywhere. You couldn't pay me enough to be downtown this week or next.
- VA gave me a CPAP machine a while ago. I am CPAP intolerant. VA set me up with an ENT specialist who will fix deviated septum late February. Doc is only 15 mins from house vs. 50 miles into DC VA.
- Remains chillllly here. VFW buddy coming by to spend night and drive my SUV to High Point NC tomorrow to have running boards installed (next owner will like them). Saves me 10 hours of driving which my back won't tolerate.
- We've never started house shopping WITHOUT a pre-approval letter in hand. Not sure we'd entertain offers from any buyers without the same.
- DC is ready for a football game on Saturday night! WOOOT!
Cheers,

Good morning.
I wonder if the Commandes envisioned a scenario where they'd need that large a room block for a visiting team around the inauguration. 🤔
Training last night was fine. Working on redirecting him from distractions like other dogs. Quote of the night - "You're a stubborn little man aren't you?". I'm glad he showed his true colors so they don't think we're making things up...0 -
Mornin' BBB
I never logged on yesterday. Did I miss anything?
"You're a stubborn little man aren't you?" Leo is a Shih Tzu. Bred to look cute and do what they want.
Very mediocre food at a pretentious restaurant last night. I'll NOT be bach.
Back to training with the Greek this morning.
Meet with my knee surgeon this afternoon.

Good morning BBB friends.
I missed your birthday, Lee. Many happy returns.
We ate out last night, too, but at a non-pretentious Japanese place in Tumwater where we are regulars. Leftover yaki soba for supper tonight.

Morning gang
Our cooking class yesterday was delightful. We had a small hike through the huge organic gardens including a lesson on all the local flora. He showed us his organic fertilizer room, coffee drying room and greenhouses. We harvested all the ingredients for our salad before returning to the outdoor kitchen fo make traditional chicken and rice and corn tortillas. Followed up with a up with a cup of coffee brewed in a siphon.
Then visited the home of the coffee barista to purchase fresh greens and bananas.
Today we are heading to a farm tour and making cheese. Plus meeting another couple from one of my nomad Facebook groups.0 -
Good Morning,
Started day with my Emmaus group.
No doctors for DW till Monday then every day next week. She is feeling better does not have another chemo till 28th.
We still have some snow on ground in yard.
Today is DW's birthday, playing it by ear as to whether taking her out for dinner or me cooking here; we have been so blessed with neighbors bringing in food past two weeks.
Attendant from personal care home called me on DMIL's phone last night, said she claims she is dying tonight; I told them she was lying she has been promising me that for over 30 years she was dying. Come to find out she had refused to eat all day, had not drank any water and refused to take her medicine. Saturday is her birthday, turns 97, she thought yesterday was her birthday bet she was upset because no one had told her Happy Birthday. Bigger bet is she will not remember today is DW's birthday.0 -
Good morning BBB Friends.
- Bad knees, bad septums, bad prostrates. We are a sorry lot.
- "You're a stubborn little man, aren't you?" So, Lou, were they talking about Leo or you?
- Glad to hear Joanne is feeling better. Happy Birthday!
- Don't go making the VA mad Skip. Ya never know....

Happy birthday to Joanne. Glad she's feeling better for now.
I would NOT want to be in the DC area either. What mess that traffic must be.
Still cold here, but better than the -1 that was yesterday.
The whole problem with that preapproval from the bank was that the realtor TOLD Reilly's realtor that he was preapproved. He was trying to get a loan from Rocket Mortgage and then, needed a cosigner to buy the house. It was a mess. And, then, fell through.
Now, he has another accepted offer on it. I've been praying that is sells quickly. Holding 2 mortgages and utilities, etc. on 2 homes, is no fun.
Gotta go dog sit.
Have a great afternoon.0
