    Good morning!

Frankie decided that she needed to go outside at 4:00 this morning. Ugh! It was only minus 6 outside. That is WAY too cold for me! Collin gets home from work at 3:00 am. So, since I was up, he was talkative. That's OK. When I get up like this, it is hard for me to think about crawling back into bed, so there will likely be a nap this afternoon.

Bill, I hope you got a great night's sleep in your new bed.

Sam, I hear you with the arthritis not liking the cold. I am now discovering that broken ribs don't like it either. I have to say that my rib seems to be healing more now. I am able to do a few more things now before it tells me to slow down. I'm not in nearly as much pain. This is good. My crown is also comfortable now.

I've been slowly adding some walking (treadmill) into my routine. Slow walking, less than a mile. It is a start. We still have snow and ice on the ground, and for three days now, we have not even seen 20 degrees. If it is above 20, I'll take Frankie for a walk. She misses the walks too.

Dave, sorry the coring didn't work out. You'll have to talk with Rita about getting a new toy so that you can do that for yourself.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

-2º here this morning. The girls went out and then I brought them back in. We'll go back out when the sun comes up. Might hit 19º today.
Had a Cubano sandwich from a local deli yesterday. I charged myself 25 pts. Good thing I had made a zero point chicken and bean soup this weekend to heat up for dinner. Hot soup felt good with this brutal cold snap.
I agree with Steve, bigger shop and more tools.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Heading down to Salem, Oregon today. My siblings and I will visit the old house one last time before the for-sale sign goes up, then we'll meet with the account manager about the trust that holds our mom's estate. We need to start looking at terminating the trust and dividing everything up, after the estate taxes are paid. I'm driving the Tacoma down. They held out three "big" pieces of the 65-year-old flowering cherry tree from the front yard, as well as a large white oak burl from a tree my sister has been saving for well over a year.

One of those bowl saver coring setups runs the best part of $1,000, by the time all is said and done, so I don't think that is in the cards. It would be worth it if I did this for a living, or even as a second gig to make extra money. For a hobby it's too much, I think. I do want to get a new, better, electric chainsaw, and a high-end, pin-less moisture meter to gauge how dry pieces are before I finish them.

Enjoy the furnished bedroom, Bill. The place must be feeling more and more like home.

    Good Morning,
Cold, but Pablo has been out and around block.
Joanne has an appointment in Athens at 1:30 today, and none tomorrow.
Chance of a dusting of snow late afternoon.
In the real Buckhead where we lived before moving here yesterday 3 7th graders were out on an ATV afternoon ran into trailer, killed two third air flighted out.
Nothing sleeps as good as one's own bed
Dave have learned if one dwells on something long enough, they find they can justify what they want.
Talks with son usually good unless they want something.
Mike believe it is cold enough for ice fishing now.

    Good Morning

Such sadness about those 7th graders. Much too young to see all their possibilities come to an end.

A bit chilly this morning, but otherwise clear. Furniture arrived with a few things for them to work out but at the end of the day we finally can unpack our clothing from the boxes. Not to much warm clothes in those boxes unfortunately. I am still taking it easy due to my gut issues but seem to be improving. Today is Tuesday so we are off to the Bogart Film Festival for this weeks showing. Then it is home to unpack the bedroom boxes and a chicken dinner.
