Good morning.
It's too quiet this morning. The comings and goings at the airport usually provide their unique soundtrack. I "noticed" the quiet last night on the way back to the hotel from dinner and Twitter confirmed it. Local news seemed to be consistently 20 minutes behind.
I'm beginning to think I'm not 100%. And I'm thinking to innovative ways to kill hotel guests that have phone conversations in the hallway at 4AM..0 -

Security had to escort fired Inspector General of the USDA out of her office yesterday. I am a USDA accredited veterinarian and I kind of felt a bit pissed off about it. I do not know her personally, but I guess I feel some sort of allegiance. To my knowledge, the USDA has been running just fine. Maybe it just goes to show you, its not what you know (or can do), its who you know.

Morning gang
We are all settled into our condo and made a grocery run yesterday. The big supermarket is about 1k away. We got just the basics including water. Hoping we can find water closer...it's heavy. Condo is OK, not luxurious at all but has comfy couch and a king bed plus a view of the water.
Yesterday between the cafe we hung out in before we could check in and the condo I lost the big scarf I tie to my backpack. That's not so terrible as I can replace but I also had my almost new athleta, packable rain jacket with perfect pockets rolled in it. I noticed it almost immediately upon getting into the condo and re retraced out path but no luck. I'm heartbroken...I can't imagine I will be able to replace with one as nice quickly. At least I won't likely need it until the cruise so at least I have a couple of weeks
to shop.
Today we are taking a tuk tuk and tapas tour.0 -

- A tragic plane crash at DCA. I've flown in and out of that airport many times.
- You'll be happy to know Brandy's firmware update is complete. For some reason I needed to reload the old version before I could do the new version. Lots of good information on this interweb thing.
- I saw the nice picture of the Ring girls supporting each other. I remember when DW got her buzz haircut.
- We need pictures Steph. Sorry about the rain jacket.
