    Good morning!

Frankie woke me up way too early this morning.

I am hoping that today will be a quiet day. The dentist visit went well yesterday. They didn't have to numb me to do the surface fillings.

We had over an inch of rain yesterday.

I do not care for oysters, although I love a good clam chowder.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

Me girls let me sleep in today. Nice.
Its supposed to be a pretty yucky day with freezing rain all day.
I hit four different grocers yesterday looking for fresh or frozen shucked oysters. Nope. I settled for salmon fillet on the grill.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Mornin'

Son-in-law who lives on outer Cape Cod works in the Wellfleet oyster beds all winter. I'm not a fan of oysters, especially raw, but I do like clams--chowder, fried, or stuffed.

Drizzly here today. Not nearly as much snow on the ground here as in NH. DB told me there was 2 feet of ice on their local pond. Planes were landing on nearby Lake Winnepasauke.

    Dermatologist appointment this afternoon.

I read up on mushroom teas, Cleveland Clinic says the mushrooms are good for you but better to just eat plain mushrooms than to eat them pulverized mixed with coffee. Not the kind Lee had back in his younger days.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Feeling better, almost well.

The rains have returned. It's 40 degrees and pouring outside. Going to keep it up for a while, too. Rain or rain and snow for the next week. This is far more the norm for this time of year.

Failed to turn some maple logs my sister gave me. They were too rotten to salvage. To rebuild my spirits, I started a small madrone hollow form. I'll spend some more time on that today, I think.

    Good Morning

I don't like milk or sugar in my coffee, so the idea of mushroom power is a non starter and a likely temptation to think judgemental thoughts about people who do.

Dave, its good to hear you are well into your recovery and back out in the shop. Rain has indeed returned for the week. But we sure enjoyed that nice stretch of blue skies. Heather is under the weather so we stayed put yesterday except for a quick trip to pick up a few things at the store. I made pizza dough, sauce and a couple of pizza's yesterday. Dough was not my best, showing the rust of the last couple of years and the sauce was pretty good but can be better. Got a bunch frozen. I need to find my pizza stone. I will tackle some things on the eternal list of stuff for the house and keep Heather company. I will sneak out for a walk and start a stretching routine which is way past due. I took myself of Meloxicam on Monday to give my body a break. Technically I don't need it for my back anymore but after 10 years I am used to just taking it. In the past when I have had to go off for a long stretch it took a few weeks for my mind to adjust to the arthritic discomfort and then not notice it. I will use Tylenol DM as needed and movement.

    Late to the party.
Hang in there Sam with DMIL and sending prayers to your DW.
Yeah Bill me too I drink my coffee black (as we say in our neck of the woods) no cream or sugar added.
Well after a record setting 18 days in a row of no rain in the month of January we got back to the wet weather and our temp zoomed up to 50 degrees today. So far over 0.8 inches and still coming down. Probably get close to an inch today.
When it was raining hard my weather station pops up with a one line message at the bottom which says "RAINING CATS AND DOGS". I love that message which seems to come into play when the rate exceed 1/2 inch per hour.
Got in one bike ride in a moment of dry weather and saw my BELTED KINGFISHER near a ponded area.
