Schools were cancelled last night in some towns--snow, sleet and freezing rain expected today, although nothing happening so far. 16º F.
No piano class today; senior center called and said the teacher fell and hurt himself and won't be in for a few weeks. Nice old guy, hope he's alright.
Eldest DD turns 53 today. Egad, I thought I only just recently turned 53. Time flies.
I had migraines for a while when I was young, can't imagine forever dealing with that. I heard they use botox sometimes?
Going to have garage look at my tires to see if they are fit to drive in the north woods if I go there for the dogsled races in 3 weeks. Great all-weather tires but getting old and worn; may be time to replace. Don't want to be stuck on a snowy hill with a logging truck barreling down at me.
Time to get on to the day's tasks...
Onward and downward. I think I'm still digesting Tuesday's chicken fried steak.0 -
Good morning!
I'm not sure what is planned for today. I have a lot of different options.
Thanks for the kind words of advice regarding Connie's health.
Bob, praying that your conditions are continuing to heal.
Frankie let me sleep until 7:00 this morning. I feel like I did when I was working that I overslept and I'm missing something. Ha!
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
It's 32 and heading for 41 today. Snowing to our north, but we dodged this one.
I'll drive Rita to the Army hospital this morning to get the prescription for her migraine injections. Botox is used for migraines. But it is generally recommended for those suffering 15 or more migraines a month. Rita's aren't that frequent. Add in the fact that each treatment involves as many as 30 injections on head and shoulders, with the chance of some unpleasant side effects. It didn't make sense for Rita. What she is getting is a very new drug. We'll see if it helps.
Some shop time this afternoon, I think, then choir tonight.0 -
Good Morning.
Started day with my Emmaus group,
Took Pablo for his morning stroll,
Cared for neighbors cat
Now I believe I'll go get a haircut.
DW gave out before getting through at Costco yesterday, still very tired today.
Hope meds helps Rita without any side effects!
Mike I'm told when tires reach 5 years from date of manufacture it is time to change out no matter how much tread is left.
Bill, getting back active takes a while especially with what you went through last year.
Bob, good news on PSA hope DW is improving.
Safe travels for Lee and girls.0 -
Good Morning, just barely morning
My Mom is at the end of life now. I checked in with my sister yesterday and today she sent a note that who she just been told that Mom was actively dying and was heading over there. She sleeps most the day and rarely eats, but there is no pain. When she is awake she is still mom, just a more confused version. My brother called to bring each of us up to date. Mom woke up a bit ago, recognized my sister, who was able to tell her she loved her, then she drifted off. At almost 98 her time has come and we are all at peace with it. Not much planned today. We took the car in for an oil change. At 100,000 miles and over 11 years, it is due for a boatload of stuff. I will research and schedule it. Weather is calm but rather chilly, so getting a walk in is on the list. We will head somewhere to walk. I have a ton of bills to review and some need payment. I am getting all that caught up.
