After feeding DS's dog and walking him, I will do the 2 hour drive to head home. A neighbor is taking Rory till Tuesday when DS & fam. get back. 20º this morning and feels like 6º; only four more weeks till official spring begins.

Got DDIL's piano tuned yesterday; getting so I can finish a tuning in one day. Spanned 5 hours but I took breaks for stretching, supper and walking the dog. The sound is real brassy and hammers double-strike; I'll come some other time to fiddle with it if DDIL is okay with that.

May stop at Apple store or Best Buy on my way home to get a battery replacement for my phone, which often dies by mid-afternoon. Don't want to travel to north woods of Maine in winter without phone working. (What did we do before we all had cellphones?) Forecast for the first night of the dogsled race is 5 below zero. I'll be indoors at least most of the time.

Will be glad to get back home--this kitchen has only gluten free food, lactose free milk and vegetarian hamburgers.

Thinking of folks with aches, pains, illnesses and treatments to endure.

    Have a better day.

    Good morning!

Minus 1 this morning which is 14 degrees warmer than yesterday. Today should be the last of our bitter cold for at least a week. They are saying we could hit 60 on Monday depending on how much snow melts this weekend.

Lee, I'm praying that each day you feel less pain and swelling in your knee.

Prayers also continue for Joanne and Sam.

Not much planned for today except going to the grocery store, and maybe a haircut.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Hope the CT scan shows nothing wrong, Bill.

I imagine the PT will be unpleasant, Lee. Hope the recovery proceeds well, though.

Warm enough here that I took Sassy for a walk, yesterday, without wearing a jacket. The next step will be getting to a short sleeve shirt, rather than flannel.

I rough turned a small-ish walnut vessel yesterday - a future sugar bowl, perhaps. It was nice to make some shavings.

    Mornin' gents.

72 hrs post op. I can walk without a walker or cane, but I use them to be safe and to ensure proper range of motion.
I often wonder/ worry about how heavily we depend on our cell phones.
    That is crazy cold, Steve.
    Prayers for Joanne.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good Morning

    Excellent progress Lee!

I started pulling together tax stuff for the Tax Accountant we are going to use going forward. It took forever to set up the old IMac to reprint old returns, etc and head over to get going with the accountants. I hope to have it all together to bring back on Monday. Thankfully the house sale organized alot of that information. Today I will focus on taxes, some exercise and cleaning up. I need to start planning low carb meals to get my glucose & wieght down. Things like potatoes, carrots and fruit were hard to adjust away from. Rather than go full Keto I think I will go settle in at a reasonable level of carbs after I do a bit more reading.

Prayers continue for Joanne, Sam, Bob & Lee

Gosh hand in there Bill. Glad the bladder is mostly ok w just a bit of radiation spot in it. Can;t imagine all you are going thru. I have made some dent on my taxes and will probably do a bit more today at least on my work sheets.
Brrr Steve brrrrr. going to have beaucoup rain here starting tonight but on the mild side as temps warm into the upper 50s and probably 60+ by Wed or Thur. We like cling our "atmospheric river" the "Pineapple Express" as it comes from Hawaii to us on the West Coast. Really over the last 40+ years the meterologists always called it that before using atmospheric river as a term.
Maybe instead of "raining cats and dogs" it will "rain pineapples"?? haha.

Yea good luck with the PT Lee. Most PT guys like having the patients all "doped up" when they are starting out I think.

Got half my peas all pre-sprouted and planted yesterday.

    Cheers all.

    Good Afternoon,
Shoulder still hurting where doctor was wiggling it around Wednesday.
Our high today was only 48, but Tuesday and Wednesday of next week should be near 70. I do not like waking up to 21 degrees outside with Pablo wanting to go for a walk.
Lee, most physical terrorist push one to the limits; better you do yourself before they get there then pretend to struggle.
Mike if I was stuck in kitchen like that I would have to go grocery shopping or call bring me food.
Sold my Malibu to DS for DGS, now I want a small used convertible. We do not need two cars, since I retired 6 years ago have not hit 3,000 miles in a year.
Joanne said she was better and took oxygen off, checked level after 30 minutes down to 76; no she is not as good as she wished.

Thought I checked in this morning but I guess not. Drive home from Melrose was a nightmare… GPS took me down rte. 1 to I-93 right into Boston into the tunnel, where traffic was almost stopped. Ceiling had caved in on Mass Pike plus accidents on 93. Finally got off and meandered through streets of Boston and after another half hour found the Pike. Clear Sailing almost to my exit where there was another backup from multiple accidents 6 miles down the road. Three and a half hours to get home instead of 1-1/2.
