@TAHM42 - Thanks for sharing the pics! Great shot of you and your hubby. :) And is that Spanish Moss on the tree behind him? Nature walks are the best.

I'm SOOOO grateful to have an indoor exercise bike this morning!!! See picture below. I hope it doesn't last too long! I managed to get some catch-up miles in the last three days. MTD: 70.05

@darkrider42 why yes that is Spanish moss. I am in Florida on Rainbow River. We have been kayaking, diving, and hiking. Mostly on the water stuff. Cold front came through yesterday so we had thunderstorms ruin some of our fun but right back at it today.

Colder by 2 degrees this morning so -15*F!! This is weather we typically get in the 3rd week of January! Everything is all jumbled up. And I'd somewhat expect it where you are, Char not that it makes it any easier to bear, but for sure not in California, Chris! Everyone do your best to stay warm wherever you are and ride this mess out. Spring is hopefully just around the corner. We're over halfway done with February! :)

Well I hate to complain when you all are facing such cold weather but where I am in Florida it has been too warm. Hot and humid today - yucky weather in a different way. Tomorrow your cold front is coming through and the iguanas will be falling out of the trees.

    I'm at 41/50.

Tomorrow the male pup gets neutered. The kennel said they can't take both puppies together anymore while he's intact, so back to running a dog hospital here. At least this should be easier than the female.

Well,my hubby was sick all day with a fever. The stuff that is going around is just recycling
Brinkley and I were the only ones out yesterday and today. It was so windy and cold yesterday and cold today, but the sun felt good and the wind stopped, so we took advantage of it.

@Janet: Keeping good thoughts for your pup and his snip. Hope all goes well.

I took advantage of one dog being at the vet and let my husband walk the other so I could go for a run, which was wonderful. I'm at 43/50.

P.S. The dog is home and doing pretty well considering.

That's GOAL for @CLEPANT and @GRANDMAJACKIE!!! WOOHOO!!!

@JANET - I'm with you...hot & humid is just as yucky as bitter cold! Honestly, I think I prefer the cold. :) Glad your pup is doing well after his procedure and that you got to go out for a run!

I'm getting on my bike now and will check back in with the results in a few! :)

ETA: Rode 10.5 for MTD: 92.8 / 140. I'm getting there! Only twelve miles and some change to get back on track. I can totally do this! I'm too OCD and competitive with myself NOT to.

Congrats to @Lovemyalex on making goal! Way to go!

Last night my puppy ate my husband's phone, so we have spent the whole day trying to figure out how to get his data onto the a new phone when the old one doesn't work. We got most things restored. Ugh.

    I'm at 49/50.

Oh Janet, that is terrible. That has to be so frustrating. I know this does not help, but I am sure one day you will look back and laugh. Hope your puppy is okay and your hubby retrieves all his data.

Well Dave, our temps went to 36°today. We are back in the pendulum swing again. Our foot of snow that we pick up last week is melting away. I shoveled my Nextdoor neighbor’s driveway twice since she left for Brazil to celebrate her mother’s birthday. She left with no snow and will come back to none. Of course she said it is oppressively hot there.

Put our taxes together for our Tax Lady, had my blood drawn, made soup, walked with Collin, watched the Electrician fix our ceiling lights, saw my trainer three times this week for an hour each session, we had donuts with Ronan after his blood draw...he is such a brave 8 yr old, then went shopping w/DDD then made soup. That was my week!!!
And...we had 70 degrees and sunshine for most of the day. The clouds have taken over and threatening rain at 8:00 p.m. Nothing so far. It was a beautiful day. I can't imagine cold and snow. Nopey, nope! I know, I'm such a baby...I can't help it.

Janet, I had a puppy...a beautiful Keeshond...she would only eat the left shoe of all my shoes in the closet. It drove me bonkers! She was such a good dog when she out grew the shoe thing, tho. :D

@clepant and @cpanus - Thanks for the reassuring words. I'm already laughing about the phone, which has been fully recovered. As annoying as that was, it wasn't life or death, right? The puppy just took a jalapeno pepper off the kitchen counter. I took it away from him but after I did I thought, maybe I should let him learn his lesson the hard way? :D

So that's goal for me! Woot. 52/50

@Chris and Janet.: How weird about the shoe Chris. And Janet , glad you got the phone info back and that he did not eat more. My lab was so good growing up. He has other weird quirks like laying upstairs most of the day and now not liking when I cough and leaves the room. I guess I did not have y thr first two years.
Now I had a beautiful mixed breed years ago that chewed on my pine sofa and chair and worked on the landing window sill and my new white pants all in one day. I cried and cried.

I also had a nephew who did not like his stuffed pepper and gave it to one of my dogs. The doggies a spent three days in the Emergency due to severe gastroenteritis. It was a bad situation. The vet said it was not likely thr pepper, but the sausage in the pepper I just read about how a woman gave her dog some rotisserie chicken and got so sick. It is injected with so many flavors and herbs. My lab likes sticks and he literally will break branches off my shrub t chew on. He does not eat them, but he still is chewing on plants that might prove toxic.

Feb 23: 6 miles walking. Two great walks today in nice weather for a change0. .

Glad all is well with everyone! Sorry about the phone, @JANET! That is so frustrating (and expensive), but sounds like he's back up and running! Busy week you had there, @CHRIS! And @CHAR, I was going to tell you to be patient and that our nice weather was coming your way, but sounds like it already arrived!!

The weather has warmed up here and for all of you as well it sounds like! We enjoyed some 46*F weather yesterday and more on tap today! I got another 21.25 miles in on the bike the last couple of days so Im gradually getting caught up! MTD: 114.25 / 140

    2/16- 2/23 additional 30 miles.

For the puppy talk. Even good pups are a handful. I just remember that they never mature past the age of 3. So always treat like the loveable toddler they are. I am enjoying my 7 month old pup that is a supermutt. She just chews up her bedding... so her kennel is bare. I only thought my fox hound gave me an upper body workout on walks... she was nothing compared to this 53 lb German shepherd bulldog mix.
Good luck with the baby labs. 1t5fk638d00g.jpg
