    1. WHO defines physical activity as "as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure." Walking , dancing or playing sports can be considered as physical activity.

    2. Reduced risk of type-2 diabetes, certain cancers, cardiovascular disease, obesity, falls and improves cognitive help as well as mental health. You can say that physical activity makes you live longer since you are reducing the risk of some health problems. According to another article "Does Physical Activity Increase Life Expectancy?", regular physical activity can add between 0.4-6.9 years to an individual's life.

    3. According to WHO "physical activity contributes to prevention and management of noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer and diabetes and reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety, enhances brain health, and can improve overall well-being." When individuals are aware that physical activity can reduce the risk of diseases it motivates them to workout. When an individual is in it for weight loss, when they see they lost weight it motivates them to be active and leads to achieving more fitness goals. Physical activity also releases dopamine, creating a sense of satisfaction. This motivational factor increases the chances that the individual will continue engaging in physical activity.

    4. At first i motivated myself by working out with a friend or a relative. At this stage, I can stay motivated to work out on my own because I’ve seen my progress and how far I’ve come. Music is always playing during my workouts, keeping me energized and focused.Sometimes I feel too drained to work out, but I remind myself of my goals and push through because I know I'll feel accomplished afterward. Those workouts matter the most to me because, despite feeling tired and unmotivated, I still got it done—and that feeling is very rewarding.

1: Physical activity is “any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure” (WHO). This includes all movement throughout the day (even leisure time). Some examples include running, walking and sports.
2: The benefits of physical activity are that it decreases the risk of diseases and other health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, etc. Plus it strengthens your bones and muscles, preventing injury now and later in life.
3: Some motivational factors that are involved in physical activity include goal setting, for example a goal would be to lose 20 lbs. Achieving every short term goal that would lead up to that larger goal is motivating. Plus rewarding yourself when achieving those goals can give you a better mindset about exercising. Also, exercise can improve mental heath, making you feel internally and externally good about yourself.
4: I’m not really a fan of going to the gym and I’m quite lazy unfortunately. But what motivates me to get more active is the health benefits that come with it—having a history of health problems, I’m trying to reduce my risk and stay thin cause I know that my metabolism won’t stay the way it is now in the future. Also, music motivates me, a lot. I often find exercising boring but having music playing keeps me occupied as well as it tunes out every distraction. I don’t often acknowledge it but after each workout, I feel ten times better, both physically and mentally.

    1. Physical activity is defined as body movement in the skeletal muscles that requires energy.
    2. Benefits of psychical activity include better mental health, better sleep, bone health and reduced body fat etc.
    3. Motivational factors can help a person self esteem when accomplishing physical activity as well as your health overall.
    4. Ways that you can personally motivate yourself to exercise is by setting realistic goals, rewarding yourself but not with food and monitoring your weight regularly. I motivate myself by going with my boyfriend to the gym rather then going alone because I tend to slack if I have no one to tell me to go.

1.“Any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure”, according to the World Health Organization. It includes all movement.
    2. Physical activity can bring improvements to cardiometabolic health, bone health, mental health, cognative health, and sleep health. Some of these benefits apply to mulitple age groups. Physical activity can also help reduce health risks in adults, such as risks of cardiovascular disease, hypertention, certain cancers, and more.
3.The above benefits can be motivational factors. Also, weight management and associated motivational factors such as raised self esteem.
4.To motivate myself, I remind myself that getting my body moving in anyway I can is most important; I can just take a walk or do other light activity on days that I am feeling unmotivated. Although I do not enjoy high intensity, I like to walk. Also, finding small ways to increase my movement like taking the long way to class or walking around the block while waiting for the bus.

    1. Physical activity is defined as “any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure” (WHO).
    2. It is proven to reduce the risk of developing many diseases and other ailments including diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular problems, etc.
    3. Common motivational factors include goals in weight loss, strength training, or going with others which in turn pushes both yourself and them to stay consistent.
    4. I personally found that the biggest aids in my motivation when I started was going to the gym with friends. I am a competitive person so it became a competition in my mind to stay consistent with them. Another motivation that I have for myself is logging my workouts. I use an app called “stronger” that helps me track all of my workouts including overall weight moved, muscles groups hit, and gives silly comparisons to how much weight I moved in a workout (2 planes, 88 corgis, 13 gorillas, etc.)

    1. Define physical activity.
Physical activity is any bodily movement produced by the skeletal muscles that expend energy. The term refers to all movement, including everyday actions like housework or walking from place to place.
    2. What are some benefits of physical activity?
Physical activity can help improve cardiovascular health, bone health, cognitive health, and sleep. It can also prevent various medical issues such as type-2 diabetes.
    3. What are some motivational factors involved with accomplishing physical activity?
Some motivational factors involved with accomplishing physical activities are feeling good after a workout, wanting to be healthier, and setting smaller, more manageable goals to truly feel like you are making progress with your health.
    4. What are some ways that you personally motivate yourself to exercise?
I personally motivate myself to exercise by going with friends so it is also a social activity, watching a video or listening to music so it takes away the excuse of exercise potentially being boring, and in the winter I remind myself that working out with make me less cold.

    1. The WHO defines physical activity as "any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure". Physical activity is not excluded to only working out, as it also includes all movement during leisure time, transport, and general day-to-day activities.
    2. In children/adolescents, some benefits include improved physical fitness, cardiometabolic health, bone health, cognition, and mental health. Some benefits for adults include longer lifespan, decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, improved cognition, improved sleep, and can even help with certain diseases such as hypertension, cancer, and type-2 diabetes.
    3. Most people engage in physical activity in order to lose weight. Specific reasons for wanting to lose weight can vary, however. Some people may want to lose weight for health reasons, to fit in with societal expectations, to appear more "desirable" to others, or for personal reasons.
    4. Beside from wanting to maintain a healthy weight for myself, I try to keep myself motivated to exercise in order to set myself up for a healthier lifestyle in the future. Getting older tends to come with more health problems, and I want to negate that as much as possible right now, so that future me doesn't suffer.

    1. Any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure.
    2. It can reduce your risk of getting cancer, and can improve cognition, cardiovascular health, and mental health.
    3. Motivations include losing weight, getting stronger, and building muscle.
    4. For me it really depends. I feel motivated when I feel like I’m doing well at exercising and have people encouraging me, but a lot of times when I feel I’m not doing well at it I start to feel a lot more pressured rather than motivated especially if I’m in not the most positive environment. As such I feel that in order to exercise well you need to be in a positive environment that encourages you to do your best and is there to help you achieve your goals.

    1. Physical activity is any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy, including walking, cycling, sports, and household chores. The WHO and the NHLBI emphasize its importance for all age groups in improving overall health. It includes different types such as aerobic, muscle strengthening, bone strengthening, balance, and flexibility activities.
    2. According to NHLBI, regular physical activity offers many health benefits, such as improved heart and lung function, reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases, and assistance in weight management. It also lowers feelings of anxiety and depression, improves sleep quality, and makes daily tasks easier to perform. WHO states that physical activity contributes to preventing and managing noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and diabetes. It also reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety, improves brain health, and improves overall well being.
    3. According to NHLBI, setting specific and attainable goals is important for maintaining motivation in physical activity. They recommend focusing on objectives that are manageable, such as walking a set amount of time each weekday, to feel a sense of achievement and encourage consistency. Also, rewarding yourself for achieving these goals with a movie or personal time can encourage positive behavior and motivation. WHO highlights that certain factors can influence someone’s motivation to engage in physical activity such as social, cultural, environmental, and economic determinants. Creating safe and enjoyable opportunities for exercise, considering these determinants, can encourage motivation and participation in regular physical activity.
    4. Some ways that I motivate myself to exercise include starting with smaller goals and gradually building up to bigger challenges as I gain confidence and strength. I also prefer exercising with a partner to make workouts more enjoyable and engaging. Additionally, I allow myself a cheat day on Sundays with a small indulgence in junk food and fun activities, giving me something to look forward to while staying committed to my fitness routine.
