Good morning!
I hope that Mike is headed off for a great adventure in Maine. His trip sounds exciting.
I'm glad to hear that things are drying out in the PNW. It has been warmer here and our permafrost is starting to thaw. The ground is mushy and muddy.
Lee, praying for pain relief for you.
I got the doors home just fine. They helped me put them on a cart yesterday, and they helped me put them in my old truck. When I got home, I backed the truck up to the garage door and just basically slid them into the garage. I was able to get them into the garage with only partial lifting. No ribs hurt in the process. Whew! Now I have to think about painting them and installing them. 🤔
Today is Connie's birthday. She has not declared what she wants to do today. I will be baking her favorite cake, and we are going out for a nice dinner this evening. She has not declared where she wants to eat tonight. I'm hoping to give her a great birthday celebration.
Collin is still working the 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. shift. He is at the three month mark. He will soon have the hours (520) to be on regular payroll and not agency payroll. He is still liking the job. We are thankful for him.
Have a great day!1 -
Mornin' gents.
Woo hoo! So good to hear that you avoided any aggravation of that rib injury.
The good news about the knee pain is it will abate with time and PT.
I think the tramadol was messing with my sleep, so I didn't take the 10pm dose last night and doubled up on my gabapentin. It seemed to work, my fitbit says so.
Does DMIL like the Audi?
Safe travels to Mike. He is actually doing something that I have long wanted to do. I've been invited to the Alaskan sled dog races a couple of times to do vet checks, but never was able to make it happen.
Rita looked pretty happy digging in her garden.

Good morning gentlemen.
Glad you got a better sleep, Lee.
Great that Collin has settled into his job.
We watched the teams pass through Fort Wainwright on the Yukon Quest race many years ago. It is viewed as the toughest sled dog race in the world, between Fairbanks and Whitehorse. We stood on the frozen Chena River for half an hour, at 50 below zero. Fun memory, and my only association with sled dog racing. Hope all goes well for Mike.
It should reach into the 60s today. I might wear shorts while walking Sassy.0 -
Good Morning
It is great to hear Colin is at the 3 mos mark. Perhaps he has turned a corner or is just a graveyard shift type of guy.
Another beautiful day here. I spent all day yesterday making calls and tracking down tax stuff including a long go round with Chas Schwab to get by their new security protocols. I had to bite my tongue when they couldn't get it to work either. More to do assembling tax, mostly costing out the house improvements for the one we sold. Tried to track down my referral for my kidney scan which is to check for possible growths/tumors. Finally got some one at the practice in Eugene to tell me it is hung up, a week so far, on their own internal review and approval process. The last thing the doc said to me last week was to make sure I got it done so we could review at our next appt. I note that the bladder scoping was done in their facility and didn't need approval. The CT scan is done at the Medical Center. Less revenue for them. 'just sayin0 -
Glad to hear about your ribs being ok and Collin liking his job Steve. Good luck with Connie and her B-day.
Good to hear ya got some sleep Lee.
Thank goodness we got the tax stuff done and e-filed yesterday. Hopefully we didn't forget something.
Will be low to mid 60s today.

Good Evening,
Thought I had posted between CT scan and MRI, reckon it did not go through.
Happy Birthday to Connie!
Safe travels Mike
Always good to have taxes done and able to look forward
DMIL has not seen or know about Audi, she is too busy aggravating everyone including DW who has too much to be concerned about; I do believe her breathing is a little better even though her walking test did not go that good at pulmonologist today. They are trying to get her a portable oxygen generator approved by insurance based upon todays test. Goal is still to get lungs cleared and surgery to remove tumor ASAP.0
