I'm Shaun, I've been a part of UAC on and off over the past year or so. Life has gotten quite busy and have not kept up with it. I live in the Washington DC area, so chaos is now standard lol. I have managed to stay 20lbs or so below my max weight of 235 last year around this time. I do a lot of gaming in my free time, and spend a lot of time in the car commuting during the week. I'm looking to work my way down to a more ideal weight over the next year or so, I'm also planning on running a marathon at the end of the year, so training started for that this week, long runs are on Saturdays, so going to be a fun day!

Hi! I came to this group back in June after stalling out trying to lose a little more than ten pounds. Like @katiemarreel i also struggle with social events and eating at night. I got the nighttime snack attacks under control, now I need to work on slowing my eating.
I have two kids and live in the city. I ride my bike around a lot for errands, walk almost everywhere else, and enjoy shorter, calm workouts.
So nice to see old friends, new faces, and some who pop in and out of the group!

    Hello everyone 👋

I am a Brit living on the East Coast of the USA.

My main goals for 2025 are losing weight, hormone/cortisol balancing which lm hoping to achieve by incorporating meditation, yoga, strength training into my daily life and taking a gentler approach.

I started UAC in January 2025 and that was a great month, February started great then went a bit downhill in the last two weeks. So here l am in March ready to go, the evenings are a tiny bit lighter and l can almost see Spring around the corner!

Have a great month everyone ❤️

    Hello,

Happy March! I'm Carole. Age 66.5, 5'3", living in the Boston, MA area and working full time in Cambridge.

I definitely need daily accountability to stay on track. I will look over the guidelines and to my best to stay consistent and follow the rules.

I'm guessing my weight is about 156 right now. I would like to lose at least 6 lbs. this month and to attain a weight of 140 or less by this Summer. I regularly weigh in on Wednesdays.

    Have a great day!
    🩷Carole

Hi everyone, I've been with the UAC since July of 2023 and this group has absolutely changed my life. I've lost about 70 lbs so far.

With the amazing information and support I get in the UAC, I made it through some really rough and stressful times without losing my way. As a member of this group, I have learned how to plan my meals, how to eat in order to keep my body and mind healthy, and even how to enjoy exercise (yes, for real). I used to think that I was "just not the kind of person who enjoys exercise," and that I was always going to be obese. Now I know that I can be whoever I want, as long as I'm willing to learn what I don't know, and give myself time to practice my new skills. My health, well-being, and self-confidence have improved drastically. I'm having a blast!

Right now I'm mostly working on self-care: learning how to relax and enjoy life, which is a fairly new concept to me :# I hope to lose the rest of my surplus weight this year (another 60 lbs to go).

I look forward to spending another month with my awesome UAC friends (regulars, returning members, and newbies). Let's do this!

    P.S. To the new folks: @sinalotibe1 @dpclarkrd6043 @darlenekscowden @jakimoody1420 @dottiefrisone don't be shy, say hi :D

Hi! I am glad to be here.

I’m still here… just been lurking the last couple of days with a nasty cold. But I have been logging… just not posting.
