Good morning!
They say that we had record low pressure with that blizzard that blew through. My arthritis thinks that is right. My rib is also hurting again. I'm not sure exactly how I hurt it, but probably trying to lift too much. A couple days resting it will help.
I do need to go to the grocery store this morning. When I first broke my rib, pushing the cart hurt. It does not do that anymore, but it could aggravate it today. We'll see. Part of the healing is to push it from time to time, just not too hard.
I grew up Lutheran and Lent was important then. I married Baptist, and they just give Lent a slight nod.
Prayers of healing continue for the group, especially Lee, Sam, and Joanne.
Have a great day!

Mornin'
I swore I posted yesterday but it's not there, and then I looked at Tuesday and found what I wrote on Wednesday. My brain must be scrambled [even more than usual] from the all-day driving and all-night radio duty at the dog races.
Our piano class is getting together this morning without the teacher. A few weeks ago the senior center called and said he had fallen and would not be coming for a few weeks. Since then nobody has heard from him; usually if he's sick or away or had surgery he emails to let everyone know—not a peep this time. We decided to keep coming and working on our lessons. Hope he's alright.
Gotta run…

Sam, can't believe you tore your rotator cuff again… what on earth is a reverse shoulder replacement?
My windows are originals. Double glazed, from when the condos were built around 1970. The bedroom window fogs up inside and even ices over inside when it's really cold. The sliding door is permanently fogged up between the panes, and looks like I haven't washed it. Its frame is aluminum, so when it gets below zero outside the door freezes shut from frost buildup, like an old refrigerator that needs defrosting. Can't open it without a hair drier. God forbid there was ever a fire when it's like that.

Good morning gentlemen.
There area couple windows in our house (2002) that are starting to show some fogging between panes. I doubt that we will do anything about them, yet. More troubling are a;ll the homes built around the time ours was, that are getting new roofs. Our shingles look OK to me - they were supposed to be 40-year shingles - but you never know.
We were at the hospital yesterday, for Rita's appointment, and have to go back again today, to pick up prescriptions. One we are getting is Rita's second migraine preventive shot. We hope a nurse in the neurology clinic will give her the shot, otherwise that task will fall to me.
Need to do some grocery shopping, too. I hope I can find some eggs. I miss my morning omelet.

Reverse shoulder replacement, they cut ball off humerus (upper arm bone) and drive a socket in its place, and place a ball on shoulder blade (scapula). That way deltoid muscle does more work than rotator cuff muscles.
Need to finish clothes, washer dinging; go check on DMIL and go by drug store to pick up prescription for DW. They call yesterday for me to pick up prescription and told me we owed $140.00; I ask about insurance whereby they told me insurance would not pay till today because it was too soon. Told them I would pick up today, then borrowed some needles from neighbor. Will have a talk with insurance, how can they say a diabetic is to use needles several times instead of replacing with each injection, does not sound safe to me.
Condo fees don't cover windows and doors? They are part of shell.

Gosh Sam that sound ridiculous about your prescription supplies.
Mike: Hope your piano teacher is ok.

We just finished having an electrican remove all the ballasts from our kitchen lighting and replace the fluorescent bulbs with LED w/o ballast bulbs. works great so now we have light. Also had a GFCI outlet replaced in the garage and a switch to an outside light. Went well.
Hang in there everyone, Lee ,Joanne, Bill, Sam, friends and family too.

Good Morning
Sam, I am so sorry to hear about the new tear in the rotator cuff. Will you be able to get the surgery soon, or must you wait till Joanne is further along in her treatments? It makes the needle prescription stupidity even more annoying. I will be praying for healing, wisdom for you and your medical teams and His strength to carry you through.
I heard back from my Urologist practice this morning on my attempts to schedule the Kidney CT scan. They of course blame the hospital fax system which has already blamed theirs. Aren't they both fun! I agreed to drive to Eugene for the scan if it will make it happen.
When we bought the house, one of the bathroom windows had a bad seal. The local glass company was able to replace just the sealed glass unit (as part of the closing), fairly reasonably. It might be a cheaper approach if the windows are otherwise in good shape. That and some caulking.
Non exciting day ahead
