    Good morning!

Frankie decided that 5:00 this morning was the time to get up. Sigh….

Today is the day that I start replacing doors in our hallway. I bought prehung solid core doors. I will take out the old door, trim, and jam. The new doors have a split jam which helps with installation. I will hang the new door(s), then I will take the door itself off and paint it in the garage. Connie will paint the trim once installed. We decided to go that route so that we won't mar the paint during installation. The door frames are not square anymore. I bought a new package of shims. Being a homeowner has taught me a lot over the years.

Other than that, I still have not started my taxes, and I have a lot of other projects that I can work on. We will be having warmer temps next week. I think my rib will allow me to start doing some yard work again. I'm finding a good balance between rest and projects. I am loving retirement - seriously, I am!

Prayers continue for all of you gentlemen and spouses. I pray you heal quickly and that medical procedures go well.

    Have a great Friday!

    Mornin' gents

    I missed posting yesterday altogether.

I should look into replacing the side door on our detached garage. The jam is falling apart.

I keep getting bills from the Pain Management practice my rheumatologist sent me to that I have no idea what they are for. Unable to pay online. I get a bill in the mail and then I have to mail the payment in on my own stamp. Trying to get the billing dept on the phone has been frustrating.

From what I understand, the shoulder replacement recovery is a lot easier than from the arthroscopic procedures. Good luck, Sam. $140 sounds pricey for a box of needles. Are they the auto injectors?

Surgeon and outpatient PT guy concurred that I should not go back to full days at work yet, but they are pretty happy with my progress, they just don't want me to overdo it because of how well I am progressing. Same thing I tell my ortho patients. I am now riding a stationary bike.

My girls are so bored, they are digging holes in the yard. I tried telling them it would be another week at least before we could play.

Thermostats in CO are google nest. I am not sure if that is the latest and greatest, but you can manage from your phone so long as you have internet.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Mornin' gents.

Met up with piano students yesterday. No one has heard from our teacher. Tried to email him, no answer; group tried to mail him a card, don't have an address. Very strange…

50 mph wind gusts today, and colder than past few days when it was in the 50s. Had hoped to get in a hike, but not safe walking under trees with that wind.

Interesting results from the Can-Am 250 mile dogsled race. It was won by a guy who won it 9 previous times. Last year's winner was a woman for the first time, but this time she "scratched" after 120 miles (dropped out). Meanwhile, the musher who kept us up till 4:30 in the morning because he went so slow, says in his bio that he just loves the sport and his goal has been simply to finish the race with all his dogs. Didn't cross the finish line till Tuesday morning! He had open heart surgery last year. Besides prizes for the winners, they award a red lantern to whoever finishes last. He prides himself on winning five red lanterns in past races…

Lee, sounds like solid progress with the knee.

I'm going to focus on tidying up my place today.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Many more signs of spring around here - including visible clouds of pollen from some of our trees. That will get worse next month, when the cottonwoods kick in.

We couldn't get a nurse to give Rita her shot, yesterday, so we made an appointment to do it today. While I am glad to not be forced into doing it myself, it messes up our Friday to have to drive 20 miles in the middle of the day.

    Good Morning

Yesterday was a semi productive day. Today I am going to move the unpacked items out of the house and into the garage and sort them a bit so we can live a bit more normally and it will be easier to clean. Once sorted we can find the remaining boxes that we need to unpack and get rid of the stuff we don't really need. I am tired of not finding stuff I need. A quick trip to the grocery store will be needed today if we are going to have dinner tonight and the days to come. I will take an example from Heather and force myself out the door to walk. She always asks when I am in the middle of something so I say not right now and she heads off. Should be a nice day today.

Bill: Hope your Kidney CT gets scheduled (HRMPH) and goes without a hitch.

Spring is around us but it was 31 deg this a.m. On my side of town the last frost is about April 7th or so. Daffodils blooming all around, Crocuses and some early trees starting too. My peas look good a couple of inches tall.

Sending Ts and Ps for all the tests, pain management and medical issues.

    Cheers.

    Good Afternoon,

Sunny and 60's today, tomorrow should be sunny and mid 70's; believe the top will be going down of car.

DW seems to be feeling better today, after I fixed a large breakfast she wanted to clean up kitchen. Groceries purchased and another drug store run. Had to chase down Pablo where he jumped out of fence again and went to play with neighbor dog. I hate to put him on a cable but believe I may have to.

We have been here 8 1/2 years, we have boxes in basement that have never been unpacked.

Glad knee is progressing, just do not overdo it.

Getting a little exercise daily will help with physical health as well as mental, even if it is just a walk and a little stretching.
