    3. How did you learn about the 5% Challenges? I was looking through the message boards for a challenge.

    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? This is my first one!

    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? I live near Omaha,NE.

    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? I want to continue to make progress in my weight loss. I have made changes and thought the challenge with accountability and support would help me take my journey to the next level.

    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not? I like Spring. Beautiful weather and a transition to Summer.

    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? I don't really have any. I just like being able to navigate around town better (bye bye snow). Other than that an occasional walk, going to a barbecue or just some other events.

    9. What is your favorite type of Spring exercise? Walking

    10. Would you rather take a walk, garden, or clean the house? Walk/clean up. It is a toss up. It depends on my mood.

    11. What always cheers you up? Worship music. Self improvement things (sometimes working out etc) Talking to my mom.

    12. Do you have a diet or fitness tip to share? Incorporate vegetables in your meals to bulk up your plate with less calories.

    13. Please share two fun things about you.

    I moved to NE sight unseen for a job (2nd time I have done this).

    I like going back to childhood fun. I bought rollerskates and learned how to skate again. I just got a bike so I can start cycling. I miss stuff like jumping double dutch and playing dodgeball 😞

    14. Anything else you would like to share? I am excited about this challenge. I decided to do a glow up for 2025.

    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back. Don’t remember, but at least 4-5. I keep coming back b/c of the accountability!

    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? Tell us a bit about where you live. Don’t think Green Bay is a major city 😂, but it’s a lot bigger than any others near me. I live way up in the northern part of WI. We call it “Up North” or “God’s Country”, b/c of the beautiful lakes and forests we have all around.

    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? To get back to a healthier weight and get more heart healthy by doing more aerobic activities.

    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not? Depends on your definition of when spring starts. I use to love March/April, but since moving up here permanently, early Spring is usually melting, often dirty snow and sloppy muddy. It doesn’t get pretty until around May.

    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? Being able to get outdoors more often!

    9. What is your favorite type of Spring exercise? Walking, and on real warm days, going out on the lake on my SUP.

    10. Would you rather take a walk, garden, or clean the house? Walk definitely!

    11. What always cheers you up? Doing my “Coffee w/ God” b/f dh gets up, getting outdoors, talking with my sisters and seeing pics of my kids and grandkids.

    12. Do you have a diet or fitness tip to share? Sitting for long periods if time is bad for our bodies and mind. The older I get, the more I find out how true this is!

    13. Please share two fun things about you. Dh and I travel a lot, mostly because he can’t stay still. 😂 I celebrate my birthday doing fun or silly things all year long every 5 years. Next time will be when I turn 70 in 2026! Can’t wait. 😛

    14. Anything else you would like to share? I have occasionally not done a challenge or two since starting them, but always regretted not participating. These challenges do help me both physically and mentally! Thanks to all the leaders who give of their personal time to make them happen!

    3. How did you learn about the 5% Challenges? I created a new MFP account after starting and deleting a few over the years, and was feeling the need for connection and accountability, so I searched the groups for active challenges.

    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back. This is my first one!

    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? Tell us a bit about where you live. I live at the bottom of a giant hill in San Francisco! I love that I can walk along the waterfront, attend lots of outdoor cultural celebrations, and enjoy lots of local, seasonal produce!

    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? My main goal is consistency. I want to be consistent with my eating (I'm aiming for 80/20…I eat healthy 80% of the time) movement (goal is at least 10 minutes of intentional movement per day), and sleep (I am TERRIBLE at getting enough sleep, so working on that!).

    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not? I like spring because I love the rain! Also, we have a fantastic botanical garden here in Golden Gate Park, and spring is the best time to go when everything's in bloom!

    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? Strolling through cute neighborhoods, parks, and gardens; having little dinner parties with my friends; reading a book with my cats while I watch the rain.

    9. What is your favorite type of Spring exercise? I love walking outdoors!

    10. Would you rather take a walk, garden, or clean the house? Take a walk, someone PLEASE give me the power to enjoy cleaning the house this spring!

    11. What always cheers you up? My two goofy cats, Her Royal Highness Ms. Chloris Sparrow Leachman-McGhee (Sparrow for short, the grey one down below), and The Lady Empress Ms. Liza Starling Minnelli-McGhee (Starling for short, the wild one, all white below). Great music. My three besties!

    12. Do you have a diet or fitness tip to share? Sleep is SO important! Not only is it when your body does all its building and repairing of muscles, but I find when I am well rested, making healthier choices is SO much easier!

    13. Please share two fun things about you. 1. Glitter is my favorite color. Seriously LOVE anything sparkly. 2. I learned how to eat fire in an alleyway in Boston.

    3. How did you learn about the 5% Challenges? Used to be a Shooting Star on Sparkpeople and someone told me the Community moved to MFP
    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back. Many. The wins have mostly been the support I received and the things I learned, good and bad, about my approach.
    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? Tell us a bit about where you live. Just moved from NY to Germany, into a tiny village in the country. Its been very stressful and very amazing at the sane time.
    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? Focusing on my health versus weight loss. There are knee problems, cholesterol and blood pressure creeping up. That, and increasing my fiber intake.
    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not? Love Spring. I love it when the world wakes back up from its winter slumber.
    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? Walking, playing in the garden.
    9. What is your favorite type of Spring exercise? Anything outdoorsy. I will try to incorporate biking this season as well.

    11. What always cheers you up? My husband. He is the silly sort. He makes me laugh all the time.
    12. Do you have a diet or fitness tip to share? Deck of cards! Assign 4 different moves, one for each suit. Then grab the deck and do the number of moves on the top card, then the next. I keep the deck hand in a place I frequent like the bathroom and try to get through the deck once a day. Its amazing. Can be done in smallest increments.
    13. Please share two fun things about you. I have twin girls, they are bilingual and 32. I love puzzles and have a puzzle table on the 2nd floor.

    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back.  I've been on a whole bunch of 5% challenges.  They are really motivating and keep me focused on healthy choices in life.
    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? Tell us a bit about where you live.  I live in a small town in southern Vermont.  We're one hour away from Albany NY, Pittsfield MA and Rutland VT.
    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season?  Do more strength training through the Silver Sneakers classes at the Y.
    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not?  I LOVE spring!  It's so magical to see all of nature come back to life.
    8. What are your favorite Spring activities?  Gardening, walking in the woods.
    9. What is your favorite type of Spring exercise?  Gardening, walking in the woods.
    10. Would you rather take a walk, garden, or clean the house?  It's a tie: Gardening, walking in the woods.!  (Clean the house is a very bottom last choice, lol)
    11. What always cheers you up?  Watching my dog have the zoomies
    12. Do you have a diet or fitness tip to share?  Yes... I started taking collagen hydrolysate (now called collagen peptides) about 10 years ago, and it has made a dramatic difference in the amount of arthritic pain in my joints.
    13. Please share two fun things about you.  I worked for 40 years at the same IT company, have been retired for 16 years, and now manage a food pantry at my church and play in a bluegrass band.

    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? Tell us a bit about where you live. I live near Cardiff in Wales (UK) it's very pretty with the sea and a lot of nature walks nearby

    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? Keep up with my running training plan and hopefully get a little bit faster

    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not? I love spring, when nature is waking up and we start having flowers in the garden

    3. How did you learn about the 5% Challenges? I have participated in several of the 5% challenges over the years.

    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back. I started doing these when I was with SparkPeople. I have lost count at this point. I am doing this for health reasons and knowing that I have to be accountable to my team often is the thing that makes me get up and do what I know I need to do.

    5. What major city do you live in or near? State? Tell us a bit about where you live. I live 4 1/2 house south of San Antonio in Texas, three miles from the Mexican border. McAllen is the largest city near me. When this challenge starts many of the Winter Texans will have left because it is too hot.

    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? I need to make sure I get enough protein and keep my carbohydrates low to continue the healing that has started.

    7. Do you like Spring? Why or why not? I like Spring because that means it is time to pack the van and hit the road for some adventures.

    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? Traveling, disbursed camping, visiting friends and family.

    9. What is your favorite type of Spring exercise? Walking and visiting the beach.

    10. Would you rather take a walk, garden, or clean the house? Where I am at it soon will be too hot to garden, so in the Spring I walk/hike.

    11. What always cheers you up? My cat, Miss Z.

    12. Do you have a diet or fitness tip to share? Although it was difficult, I have eliminated sugars, grains, and seed oils. I occasionally eat non-starchy veggies that I have grown myself from non-GMO seeds . I try to avoid all ultra-processed foods.

    13. Please share two fun things about you. 1) I have reimagined my minivan to travel and stay in, usually off-grid. 2) I have recently had a Watchman device implanted so I can get off the blood thinners, making it possible to hike in some of the more remote locations.

    5. What major city do you live in or near? Sharon Hill, near Philly State? PA Tell us a bit about where you live. It is a very quiet neighbor where I’ve lived since I was 11month old minus 3yrs.
    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? Lose 10lbs/do more strength and stretching exercises
    7. Do you like Spring? Yes and NO!!! Why or why not? VERY bad allergies/sinuses
    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? Sitting on the patio, walking

    14. Anything else you would like to share? I semi-retired in 2015 to watch my then 4yr old grandson. I work part-time every fri & sat 3rd shift, every other Monday 1st and when they need me to fill in during the week. I have 2 girls, 1 boy, 5 grands, I great-grand, 1 sister and a host of nieces and nephews

    I’m dyslexia, so some of my wording may have you scratching your head but I do re-read and fix most before posting. At age 68 my primary realized that I have a form of AD which explains a lot about how my life has gone.

    4. How many 5% Challenges have you completed? Not sure but was on Spark a long time before coming to this one. Please share some of the "Wins" that keep you coming back. Just having a routine of posting and keeping up with food, exercise and weight…and the great people!
    5. What major city do you live in or near? Birmingham State? Alabama Tell us a bit about where you live. I live over a mountain where there is only one way out. I live on a lake and have a beautiful view.
    6. What are your health/fitness goals for this season? Lose 10 pounds and walk more.
    7. Do you like Spring? I do but not the tornadoes. Why or why not? Spring reminds me of newness.
    8. What are your favorite Spring activities? Watching birds, geese, squirrels and everything turn beautiful colors.

    I love it it makes me feel so cheery with the green grass and flowers though I hate the wasps

    sparkling water before eating really fills you up so as long as you stop eating when you are full you should eat less
