Good move, Sam! Hope you and Joanne don't push too hard though.Eyelid surgery? My optometrist has been trying to get me to do "droopy" eyelid surgery a few years - I keep saying no. Is this what you are doing?
Right heart cath tomorrow….along with ABG. If this doesn't satisfice the VA - me thinks, I'll need to hire an attorney. This VA claim has been ongoing for nearly 3 years.
Hoping to hear something today or tomorrow regarding the job front. I'm sitting in a VERA class all day today. They've completely messed up my package (missing dates and calculations that show an $812 difference per month)! Inept. BUT these are the people who will be left to run the government. #FML!
Momma Moody - hope ya'll were spared the storms.

Good morning.
Finishing my coffee and then taking Leo to daycare. He's not eating before we go, so he'll be a jerk for them later.
That's not a small difference, Skip! You didn't mention in your VA interviews what a pain in the butt they are from the patient side, did you?

Good morning BBB Friends.
- I facilitated my first class at church last night. Actually, I am a co-facilitator.
- I attempted to order hearing aid supplies on VA website yesterday but that didn't work. I called and got transferred twice but the last person was very helpful, and task completed.
- We are not talking about the Atlanta Braves, nope, not going there.
- Have a good day BBB.

Good morning BBB friends.
(((Sam))), (((Skip))).
My VA interactions are limited. I go to a beautiful facility about 25 miles away. They make drive-up appointments with a technician for when I have issues with my hearing aids. I never have to leave my car.
Same old Mariners, too, Dennis. Sigh.
Nice spring weather out here: 60s with scattered clouds and sunshine. You're all welcome to come visit.

Mornin' BBB
Good luck tomorrow, Skip. Not sure what you mean by satisfying the VA claim and possibly needing an attorney. Hope it all works out.
Yankees are doing OK :)
Torpedo bats…I want one.
Let Joanne pamper you a bit, Sam.
I think I'm a co-facilitator. Not sure of what, though.

VA ratings are based on "proof of service connection" - and I believe they are Masterclass in denying. Alas, they conceded Apnea YEARS ago but require annual sleep tests and now heart cath, ABG, Pulmonary tests, deviated septum repair…..I have to believe at the end of all this - with my doctor letters saying this is APNEA Related - I will get a positive outcome. But WTF knows.

No, Lou! I actually love the physician i have at the VA. SUPER SUPER! The care is excellent. Its the claims part of the house that is in dissaray!
Today's retirement seminar they mentioned that OPM has been gutted and they are slower on retirement processing and annuitants (retirees) should expect 6 months between retiring and first paycheck! I guess my SUV will be comfortable for overnight usage! You can't make this KITTEN up0 -
Afternoon all
Farmers market this morning then a walk around the outskirts of town.
Ron's getting anxious about money as a large part of our portfolio has vanished since the beginning of the year. And i don't really see it getting any better for awhile. Upcoming cruise to Australia payment is due in 7 weeks. It's expensive but fully refundable until that payment. He wants us to have a plan B.
Take it easy Sam.

Skip, my issue with VA determinations is how random they seem. While I was on active duty I developed a melanoma on my back. It was successfully removed. When I retired the VA said since it was no longer a problem, even though I have to get annual checks by a dermatologist. I get nothing for it. A lieutenant colonel I worked with had an almost identical melanoma removed from his back. When he retired the VA gave him 20 percent because he faced the prospect of being checked for the rest of his life. Did he get that rating because he was a field grade officer, while I was an NCO? Who knows? Like I said, it's so random.

Hi BBB
Hope you're listening to docs orders Sam!
Dh is stressing about retiring in 13 months given his portfolio these last few weeks, days. He says he is calling his financial guy today. Wonder what his guy says. I got 6 years. I'm hoping I will recover. I'm sure many of us are on a similar ship. Sighh
Have a good night BBB

Yep, video was good (YouTube).
Scary! Were you flooded? Able to stay ahead of it? UGH!
Mary - good luck for DH! Our "VOLUNTARY" retirement brief today was depressing. I now understand the Senior fears around healthcare. HOLY CRAP! Healthcare coverage in retirement is going to be double……Life insurance? Fahgetttaboutit!
