A Grand March to Healthy Habits

Tes, Peloton does not have a Silver Sneakers program, but thank you for your question! It prompted me to do (another) Google search trying to understand their different memberships. It led me to read about their Guide device, which is like a Roku-sized device you attach to your tv, for strength workouts, but it comes with access to their (full?) library of classes. The cost is $24/mo for the Guide membership, which is close to half the price of an All-Access Membership you need for the Bikes/Treads, but more than the price of the app membership. But the app only membership seems to limit the number of classes you can take. Not sure about that, it seems overly complicated trying to figure out what exactly is and isn't included, even tho they do have a comparison chart. Anyway, the Guide membership lets you have 5 profiles (All Access up to 20 profiles, app only just 1 profile).
The device itself is on its lowest-ever price at Amazon for their 'Big Spring Sale' - only $45! Down from launch price of close to $400, recent list price of $195, recent selling prices of $95.
I bought the device. It'll be a couple weeks before it gets here. The Peloton instructors really ARE incredible. I've been mulling over some kind of membership since the end of January, they're that good.

@mkksemail , thanks for all the information! I hate subscriptions, And I really don’t like complicated programs. But I’ve heard so many good things about these workouts.
BTW, I’ve done a bunch of FlyLady challenges in the past. “Breaking up is hard to do …” 🎶 especially when it comes to digital 🤣1 -
lol! thx for the smiles, Tes ! 🤍😅😂😊
The Peloton workouts are fantastic! I want to take the cycling classes to my Planet Fitness bike :p

The puppy is doing really well @mkksemail . It’s just really hard to keep her from her regular activities and excitement. We got her one of those post-surgical suits so that she doesn’t need to wear a cone.

omg that picture is sooooo cute !! Look at those eyes 😻
And what a sweet/great idea, on the suit! Those cones look like pure torture

Hooray! My Grand March to greater mindfulness is a success. I’ve reestablished my yoga practice and learned to just do it, not to wait until I can stretch out my mat.

Fun pic! Is that you carrying that big pole, @hcoleman232 !?
2 -
@hcoleman232 , what fun! I attended the Highland Games here in California once - it was delightful. You’ve had a great month l I hear you about consistency with strength training. Even though that was my January focus, getting in 3 strength routines is a super struggle.

@mkksemail I wish that was me doing the caber toss! It’s my favorite event to watch and I was really impressed with the strength and determination of the athletes. Such a fun afternoon!

@hcoleman232 Where were the Highland Games? I'm from Scotland, went to a couple of Games when my dad was a boxing trainer and met a caber tosser, for the first time, when I came to live in Czechia 😅 There are Highland Games here too but I've never been to one because they're held a bit far from Prague.

These were held at Mystic distillery in Durham, NC. In July I’m planning to go to the Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain, NC
