Good morning!
I never could get signed on yesterday. I don't know what the deal was.
Bob, greenstick fracture or not, I pray that it heals quickly for your DW.
The tax thing ended up costing me $3800 between state and federal. Ouch! Connie is pretty understanding. I simply earned too much last year with the social security that I was taxed on the social security. If I had really understood that, I would have retired at the beginning of the year, or at the end of the year. But, as Connie and I talked about, I would have imploded had I tried to stay in that yucky job any longer than what I did.
My rib is still tender, but not as bad as it was several days ago. I do need to set up a doc appointment. I'm getting a new doctor, and I have one located. I was just hoping to wait until May 1 and Medicare to try and save some $$.
Dave, does your church do anything online? I'd love to hear your group perform.
A new truck engine could breath new life into an otherwise fine vehicle.
Have a great Friday!

Mornin' gents.
Light snow overnight.
Glad to have my truck back.
Taxes. Necessary evil.
White chicken chili is a lot milder than regular chili, I would think you might be able to adjust the spices so that you could tolerate it, Bill. Unless it is the beans that undo your gut. I generally add some white rice and sour cream when serving to myself to combat heart burn and the bean fiber effect. I just made some from some frozen chukar I had tucked away. I've been having it for lunch all week.
Hope WW phone app survives chapter 11, but you are right, Dave, there are other apps.
Onward and downward ;-)

WW bankrupt! Unbelievable. Hard to fathom, but modern people are drawn to quick fix drugs. Hope they don’t discover hidden downsides years from now, like the great sleep medicine that made people sleepwalk and go shopping and not remember anything about it. Or the birth control shots that are being linked to brain cancer. And the companies who knew but hid it from us. ( Cigarettes anyone? ) Okay, Rant over…
Snow here too, just enough to look like winter.
Got to sit in and observe a piano tuner who came to the senior center yesterday. He even did a running commentary on everything he was doing. I picked up practical tips on how to tune faster. And he told me it took him all day to tune a piano the first several times when he first started; so I don’t feel so incompetent now.
Heard our piano teacher is at least conscious and talking, was a little confused at times. Probably recouping from the trauma of a brain bleed. That can take a long while. Meanwhile out new teacher is starting at square zero. Basic scales. Half of us are not interested, but will wait and see what develops.
Bob, hope DW’s pinky toe is okay. Ouch!I need to stop procrastinating and start my taxes…

Good morning gentlemen.
Did our taxes weeks ago. Don't see them as evil, at all. There are a lot of things that we can only enjoy if we do them collectively. I'm happy to pay my fair share. Wish everyone did.
Steve, our worship service is streamed live on Facebook - and can be viewed there after the fact, too. Look for Westminster Presbyterian of Olympia. The service is at 10:30 PDT.
Don't know how I'll fill my day. I have been trying to complete at least one task in the shop every day. Yesterday, I rough-turned a natural-edge cherry bowl, then shoveled out all the shavings. The chainsaw might get cranked up today.

Gosh I don't know what to say about WW imploding. Not shocked really. I have just gotten use to using their new app. I suppose I could take some screen shots of what meals etc have worked for me etc. My "WW" zoom chat group in lieu of in person is not actually WW anyway . In that respect it is quite like this. group.
So sorry. about your gut Bill.
DW is doing handbells broken pinky toe and all. on Palm Sunday. Most of the top of her foot is one big bruise from bleeding. Her piny toe is buddy taped to the. next toe and should heal fine that way the
Doc says.Yeah I don't like "doing taxes" but appreciate what they collectively do for all of us. Ok with doing my fair share unlike some of the billionaires.
I am going to buy a few things like bike shoes etc that may become scarce with all this trade.
One may have to forget about guacamole? Fallbrook CA doesn't produce avocados which are native to So central Mexico.
Oh well cheers everyone and heal up!!

Good Morning
I though WW might have crashed long ago given their heavy fixed cost load with all the centers and related staffing. I thought online would save them given what they charge. But 5ey donface new competition from free/cheaper apps and drugs. Perhaps the couldn’t rescale their operations fast enough. Sometimes it is just bad management.
we said good-bye to our son and headed into Eugene for the day. We got all our Eugene errands done. It was a nice outing on a nice day. Off to see the Urologist to hear his assesment after the tests. I will need to find a local Gastro if he has no thoughts on my gut issues. Its been going on/off since just before the end of radiation. Perhaps they will have to s cope the gut. Stopping by the tax folks as well to see about my extension.0 -
Seeing a little better but still blurred at times, bilateral upper eyelid ptosis repair. Limited movement for couple of weeks but not much worse than limitations from shoulder repair other than no rubbing bending or lifting.
Hoping to get staples out of shoulder Monday and allowed to drive again.
