Woke to a surprise blizzard outside my window. At least a few inches already and supposed to continue rest of the morning. Should see if DD wants to go XC skiing later; we never got to this winter.
As a business WW was not that great—the new drugs are short cutting weight loss for people now, and making trillion$ for the patent holders. But WW promoted healthy eating and lifestyle, and group support, both important to life, and that’s not going to happen for pill poppers.
Will settle down at computer today and get working on taxes.Time for coffee…

Good morning!
Sam, it is great to hear from you! I pray that you have rapid and complete healing, and that you do get the staples out on Monday.
I don't mind paying taxes, it is a civic duty, but I just don't like being surprised when I didn't understand something and was unprepared.
Our big trade tariff purchase is a new snowblower. Our old one was purchased in 2004. It was still running, but was not in great shape for our oversized driveway. We have a raised ranch and the driveway goes down the side of the house, and then we have a large concrete pad at the end of it. We just needed something more dependable. I pick up the snowblower this morning. I'm going to try to sell the old one for $100 on Facebook Marketplace.
Bill, holding you in prayer too for your gut issues. I coached Connie into being more proactive with her IBS issues since the docs are just scratching their heads. Big stuff was ruled out with colonoscopy and endoscopy. I talked her into ordering a food sensitivity kit from Everlywell ($199). We want to see if there are food allergies that might be behind this. Celiac is ruled out, so it might not be wheat gluten, but this test will hopefully give us a better idea what is going on.
Bob, your DWs toe sounds painful.
Mike, I hope your taxes treat you better than mine did me. Mine I think were just a one year deal.
Have a great day!

Mornin' gents.
Yup, nasty wintry weather here too, Mike. You should get a good deal on a snowblower now, Steve. Things move on FB marketplace.
Death and taxes, both are inevitable.
Great to hear from you, Sam!
Prayers for Sam and Joanne, Mike's piano teacher and bible study cancer victim, and Bills plumbing.
Frozen turkey meatballs in marinara sauce over cabbage (instead of pasta). 2 pts per meatball and zero points for the cabbage. My plumbing was challenged.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Good to see your post, Sam. Hope you can keep that positive attitude. Two recoveries at one time have to be a challenge.
Our snow blower is a coal shovel and an aging back. Fortunately, it didn't have to be used this last winter and there is no more chance until November or so. Our drive is nowhere near as challenging as Steve's, anyway.
The dress rehearsal for tomorrow's cantata is this morning from 9:30-12:30. I'll miss DGS's first soccer game of the season, darn it.
The whole family is coming over for supper tonight. I'm grilling chicken drumsticks that have been in an Asian marinade since yesterday (soy sauce, lemon juice, grated ginger, garlic, a bit of palm sugar and some oil). We'll also have a salad, a pot of ranch beans, corn bread, and Rita is baking brownies. Not a point-friendly feast, but I'll watch my portions.

Good Morning
No snowblowers here. I don’t do snow unless I am intentionally visiting it. We do own snowchains from our winter visits to Yosemite. Dr visit went well. Confirmed additional cancers were not the cause. Radiation damaged bladder tissue and small kidney stone. Were the culprits. No cure/treatment for the former and just need to aware of the later in case the kidney pain becomes more regular. Off to an 3hr online retreat with the Northumbria Community on the stations of the cross. It will be evening there, morning there.

Good indeed to see ya Sam. Hope your eyes and shoulder surgery continue to improve.
So sorry to hear about your bladder damage from radiation Bill and the kidney stones too. I see you are doing a retreat on the stations of the cross.
The last time I saw the Stations of the Cross was at the foot of Mt Angel as in the Mt Angel Abbey a Benedictine community of monks. My bicycle computer said 99,999 miles. As I climbed the steep hill of Mt Angel past the stations of the cross it rolled over to all zeros just like the old car odometers.
DW foot hanging in there.
Asian marinade sound great Dave.
Cheers everyone.
