    Good morning!

I had my taxes finished several days ago, and the money flew out of my account yesterday. Collin has lost one of his W-2s, so I have an extension for him going in the mail today. He won't owe anything as he didn't work a lot of last year. He has been in his current job since November and he likes it! There is hope!

Frankie decided that she needed to pee at 4:00 this morning. Sigh…. I am sleepy, but I can never really go back to sleep. Today is a busy one anyway. I have an appointment at 10:00 this morning with my hot tub motor. That is in Lee's Summit, Missouri which is about 45 minutes from here. I'll have to turn around in about an hour as between 12:00 and 2:00, we have our annual Orkin pest inspection. We have had termites, so the annual inspection is important (and free). Of course Connie declared that the house had to be really cleaned up as the tech will be looking in corners. I did a BUNCH of house cleaning yesterday. We are familiar with the tech as we knew him as a kid, however, we knew him as a girl growing up.

Perhaps the Orkin appointment will be at the earlier end of the time window and I can sneak a nap in this afternoon.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' men.

Canoe trip was great yesterday. Sunny, 60º+, a little breezy mostly, and the river was flowing along high enough to carry us over the rocky parts. Ran several beaver dams and a few sets of challenging rapids. Only one big, fallen tree where we had to get out and carry. Lots of geese and ducks as well as a few herons. Had lunch at a little campsite where we stopped for an hour. And the marsh birds were singing a chorus. Spring has sprung on the river!

I filed an extension the other day. Need time to get things figured out, and may bring to a preparer this year after I look closer at it.

My back pain—a knot between shoulder blade and spine, didn't bother me much paddling, and was gone by end of the day. Hardly notice it today, a little when I turn my head far right.

Bible study this morning. Hopefully with Holy Week here the women won't be bringing donuts and cupcakes…

    Good morning gentlemen.

Did out taxes a couple months ago, just to get them out of the way. I used a common, on-line program. We don't have enough deductions to warrant itemizing, so our issue is just collecting all the forms required.

The canoe trip sounds great, Mike. I'm heading out for a hike today, myself. Should be a beautiful day.

Yeah we wouldn't need to itemize either for Fed taxes BUT get money back on Oregon income taxes by itemizing for Oregon. Not sure why it made such a huge difference in Oregon but will look at that later. Both Feds and State sent us our refunds to our accounts. I always try to make sure I have enough taken out to cover the taxes as I don't want to be penalized or pay quarterly.

Canoe trip sounded great Mike. I will toodle around the wetlands here by bike later today. Also mow the lawn again which is growing like a weed.

    Good Morning

The CPA finished my taxes yesterday and will file them electronically. I owe everybody due to Capital Gains on the house sale and having our income creep over the limit to make our SS taxable and then moved to an exciting new tax bracket. I will work on increasing our withholding next week. I am off to the Post Office this morning to mail in the checks. My stomach issues flared more than usual last night and I had to crawl into bed for a few hours after dinner. Today we are with visiting family and off to hike to the lighthouse. I doubt they will make the uphill hike after only going a mile or so on the beach.

If there is one thing you can till from reading our threads now, Spring has come!

    Afternoon gents.

Just lost my post because I rotated my phone. Arrrgh!

Beautiful here today. Wish I was fishing instead of werking.

I did get to swim the girls on my lunch break. I drove to a park that has a nest little stream running through it. Babe thought it was fun to swim against thr current, then turn around and let the current carry her downstream. I enjoyed watching her have such a good time.

Your drum sticks sound delicious, Dave. I saw a video on grilling them after butterflying and wondered of if it was worth doing. I guess I'm going yo have to experiment on my own.

So sorry about the capital gains. That is hefty.

    Onward and downward ;-)

Physical Torcher this morning, not fun but done till Thursday; insurance has approved 50 sessions.

Not allowed to drive for next two weeks, staples removed

We filed and paid our taxes a month or so ago, filed electronically and mailed check same day, check cleared before return accepted.

Hope you get your hot tub working today Steve.

70's for a couple of days then into mid 80's for a week, chance of rain next Tuesday here.
