Shaping up to be a beautiful day. Already on my third cup of coffee. Hit the hay at 9 PM and got up at 4:30 am. Melatonin seems to be doing the trick, for now. Depending on what and who you read, the melatonin as a sleep aid, is controversial. I think, and I tend to be a skeptic, it helped because my issue was due to a messed up serotonin cycle. I hope to wean myself off of it after a couple of weeks.

Family stuff fell through for today. So may burn a steak with a friend or two in similar situation.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Happy Easter!

Today is going to be a total washout with the weather. 100% chance of a couple inches of rain. That's OK. I will only be going out with the dog.

Non-traditional brisket, baked beans, potato salad, rolls for dinner this evening.

Prayers for Lee's knee continuing to improve, and for Sam and Joanne.

Have a happy and safe Easter with family and friends.

    Good morning gentlemen.

A happy Ester to all of you.

Some showers in the area this morning, but OK otherwise. We'll be indoors today, anyway. Church this morning, then over at our son's house in the afternoon.

That's a lot of appointments, Sam. As I recall, when I had shoulder surgery it was about six weeks before I could drive. It was my right shoulder. I think I could have gotten back behind the wheel sooner if it was my left.

    Good Morning

Easter Blessings to each of you.

No rain down here. The last few days we have enjoyed high winds from the fringe of weather up north. Along the river or on the beach the wind was challenging at times.

I never had any luck with Melatonin. An old pain Dr recommended it when I first was on & off opiates. It did nothing. Eventually I adjusted. My stomach issues flared up yesterday and had me awake at 4:00. I am going to rest a bit before starting on food prep since I am feeling it and need to debone and butterfly a semi-boneless leg of lamb. Today I will make an butterflied leg of lamb Persillade, Potatoes Au Gratin and Roasted Asparagus with a light crunchy Parmesan topping. No Hot Cross Buns. I haven't baked or cooked seriously in a several years. Enriched dough didn't seem like the place to jump back in. I did bake 2 small Yorkshire Tea Loves for breakfast yesterday after prepping the fruit overnight. I was actually grilled by an old Yorkshire cook on this while on an Alaskan cruise. But I finally got the nod from her.

    Happy Easter everyone.

Having brunch with some family at DD’s apartment. We had a nice day paddling yesterday and went for a 2mile walk. Saw some sprouting pitcher plants and *kitten* willows. A few wildflowers out also.
