    Good morning gentlemen.

Up early to head for a nearby lake. Plan my first fishing trip of the season. Pretty chilly this morning but should warm to the low 60s this afternoon. I'll dress warmly.

    Good morning!

Frankie let me sleep until after 6:00 this morning!

Yesterday, I worked on trimming all of the pampas grass that we have. We have a lot, as it is a fence of sorts from the neighbors. I got only about half of it done. With all of the bending, twisting and raking, my rib was hurting. I didn't get out on my bike or with my camera yesterday.

Today, Connie is determined that we will drive to Leavenworth and get our real ID cards. We will do a little shopping after that. Perhaps I can get out on my bike this afternoon. I still have not fixed the brakes either. Sigh…

Mike, the epoxy sounds like a great way to fix cracked wood. It shouldn't alter the sound either.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,

Another nice day here, near 80 with small chance of rain late afternoon; we could use some rain.

Joanne has dentist appointment today and I have ophthalmologist and dermatology appointment. Would rather go fishing like Dave.

Steve around here, most will tie rope around pampas grass and cut with pole saw or long chain saw.

Yup 33.7deg next door and about 34deg at my house too. Like Dave will warm into the mid 60s later today. Glad Dave is off fishing.

Good luck Steve and Connie getting "Real ID" cards.

Our older driver's licenses had all the same features but not the official logo so I plan on getting one. A bit of overkill here for sure. Booked up until May 19 nearby so have an appt at DMV that day. I have a passport so not sure I really need one but it's smaller and useful domestically.

Mike. epoxy sounds great. I have epoxied a guitar bridge back together one time and it worked fine. It wasn't a world class guitar anyway so no harm done.

No pampas grass here but am growing a container with lemongrass in it for culinary use. I put floating row cover on it last night for the light frost today.

Good luck wishes for Joanne at the dentist and Sam's trips to the eye doc and derm guy.

Got the Siletz and Stupice tomatoes planted with wall-o-water protection yesterday.

    Cheers.

    Good Morning

Bob, one of the joys of being in Florence is our tiny storefront DMV. Rarely much of a wait. But it is about n 8 hour round trip for you.

Spent quite a bit of time out in the garden, watering and trying to understand the owners irrigation. I may just put down some soaker hose and hook it up when it is time to water or use the soaker method I used in California. Spread some plant food around too. I was pretty stiff and sore afterwards but a couple hours in my trusty recliner loosened it all up. More to do today. Really windy lately. You have to layer up to hang outside.

Fishing sounds enticing. Got up to 70 here today, my boat is on the car, and my bike is in back. Good weather for the next week I think. And the ponds and rivers have been stocked with brown, rainbow and tiger trout.

Brought home 1/3 of a 12" strawberry rhubarb tart from Easter brunch to save for this morning's Bible study. It was all gone by last night, down the gullet. G*d knows the calories consumed. Then had a chocolate bon bon and piece of carrot cake at Bible study this morning. Parties, dinners, gatherings with sweets are going to be the death of me. I may skip a few weeks of social activities to get off the sugar rollercoaster.

Sam, good luck with all the appointments coming up.
