Work, sleep issues, and being a bachelor has really affected my time for checking in.

Sleep is better with melatonin, but still not great. Per my fitbit, my best sleep is occuring after 1 am and through to when I force myself up (usually 6 am at the latest). Before melatonin, I would consciously struggle from 9 pm to midnight. With melatonin, I am not conscious, but my fitbit says I'm not really sleeping during that time. Today, I was awake and feeling good at 5 am, and fitbit says I started sleep at 11:30 pm. Do I just miss DW?

Dog training and grocery shopping today.

Wish I had time to wet a line. Hopefully this weekend. Have to get wee boat in water and see if mechanic did the job he says he did.

Love watching eagles. Very impressive birds.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Lee, not having DW at your side surely affects your sleep. Time to cut your ties and move to Colorado.

I sat in the hot tub at twilight this morning. Very nice. The hot tub really does help with arthritis.

I bought Connie a food sensitivity test from Everlywell.com. It was $199, but very worth it. We have to get at the root of her IBS symptoms. The report said that she is moderately sensitive to baker's yeast. She is mildly sensitive to corn (including fructose, etc.) She is also mildly sensitive to lobster, but she does not like lobster. We are going to focus first on finding ways to reduce or cut the yeast. That won't be easy because she loves her bread. If any of you are unsure of food sensitivities, I highly recommend Everlywell.com. They were fast too! The whole thing took less than a week.

Sam, prayers still ascending for you and for Joanne.

Connie spotted nesting bald eagles less than 2 miles from our house yesterday.

    Have a great day!

Morning. Piano class today and maybe another bike ride; it was nice to be on a rail trail yesterday, been a long while. Passes through forest and marshes, along a pond or two. A few wild flowers out, and peepers or tree frogs squeaking. And fresh air…

I occasionally see bald eagles, usually on a lake I paddle about 20 minutes from here where they must nest, along with loons. Back in the 70s they were extinct from the northeast, and biologists brought pairs to the Quabbin reservoir wilderness in central Mass. After some failed attempts they were eventually established, and now they are all over New England. Majestic to watch.

I am making an effort to just say no to sweets. I think it's a start toward self discipline in diet, portion control, etc.

    Have a good day everyone…

    Good morning gentlemen.

There are eagles all over out here. I see them flying over the house, pretty regularly. Love watching them fish at our lakes. Many Ospreys around, too.

Mowed the lawn, yesterday afternoon, then made a pot of navy bean soup, using some leftover ham from Easter dinner. Very point-friendly. I'll finish off the soup today.

Forecast is for sunny and 74 today. I need to take advantage of that somehow.

    Good Afternoon,

Physical Torture this morning, feeling coming back into shoulder and arm.

Told I can start driving next week but no motorcycle for at least two more weeks.

Next few weeks will be very busy, getting clearance for Joanne's surgery plus I have PT twice a week and rheumatologist Friday week. Following week will get stiches removed from eyelid and DW has her surgery on Friday the 9th.

Fishing or catching a day on water is better than doing chores.

Oh Sam good luck with the phys. torture in the shoulder/arm. Always something to get permission to do surgery stuff.

Yup "the worst day fishing is better than the best day working" as they say.

Probably upper 70s here for the day. I am thinkin' 77deg-ish. Not humid though.

I see eagles from time to time and saw a nice osprey circling overhead when we stepped out onto a balcony on the 16th floor of a medical bldg overlooking the Willamette River and an Osprey nest.

Busy day and off to Flamenco Performance tonight.

    Cheers
