Sorry to hear about Heather being in a bad "pain season". Somehow I missed that she had chronic pain too.

The pro mowers around here tend to mow unless it is a straight up deluge. My biggest problem is getting my guy to mow high, sometimes they forget because the next door neighbor they also mow for likes it low and it turns into big clumps of half mulched grass. Then I have to gently remind my guy I like him to mow high. Maybe I should post a sign.

Not going to do the no mow May thing this year. It got way outa hand last year and was a real hassle trying to cut the resulting hayfields that cropped up in a month of not being mowed. It was a valiant effort to help the bees and it was an educational discovering the types of flowering weeds appeared with no mowing, but does not really need to be repeated.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

I am feeling my age today from all of the yard work yesterday. My rib, although doing much better is saying "you did what yesterday?" I did weed whacking (about half), and burned some brush, and cut some volunteer grass and trees out of the flower beds. Today, I think, will be more about house cleaning and maybe taking it easier.

Connie liked the yeast free bread that I had made, and requested another loaf. We have replaced all of our lunch sandwich bread with tortillas. She is not complaining as much about her IBS symptoms.

Prayers continue for those dealing with pain issues, especially remembering Heather and Joanne today.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Yesterday was a day for yard work, I guess. Rita was moving and planting shrubbery yesterday. My role was to lift and move the heavy stuff. I am feeling it in my back, today. She is back at it today. I'll be in the shop until called.

My next-door neighbor practices no-mow May. Also, no-mow June, July, August, ….

    Good Morning

I am letting my lawn die. Doing the edging by hand so I can sheet mulch was a bit much on my back, so I need to find another approach. Heather told me last night that if she doesn't feel better she will want to go over to the clinic at the Hospital. You got to go early to check in, they only take so many. We had a nice walk on the beach yesterday but she was feeling it in the evening and took one of my old muscle relaxors. We parked right at the beach where it was clear and calm. Less than 100 feet of walking onto the sand we encountered fog and a steady but not hard breeze mild temp. It was very peaceful with only a few dog walkers to share it with, but you couldn't see them due to the fog until the got closer. Warriors game tonight. There will be noise and a very tolerant wife.

Yeah no mow May isn't going to work for me either.

Glad Connie is doing better with the yest free bread.

So sorry about Heather and her pain and Joanne's upcoming visits too.

    Loos like typical Oregon Coast.

    cheers

Good afternoon. Got out early to paddle a river with a buddy. This time we went upstream 2 miles against a current and a wind, then took a fork, up a bunch of little beaver dam waterfalls till we couldn't really go much farther. Lots of herons. Stopped at an old covered bridge abutment for lunch, when a fish stocking truck came along the dirt road and hurled nets full of trout into the river. Probably 100s. Very cool to watch. Almost 70º and sunny. Trees are starting to bud out, pink, red, pale green. Nicest time of year in some ways.

My only yard work is watering the flowerpots on my balcony.

Hoping aches, pains, illnesses and decrepitudes all get healed or at least well-moderated.

Have a good rest of the day.
